“Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Was as Antler for Brunch on Easter. Outstanding new menu. The eggs Benedict were almost as good as home, and better than any other restaurant. Other items include Grand Marnier French Toast, hue so rancheros, crab cakes, shrimp, and other items. Felt like we were at a five star in Southern California.

“Fabulous food and incredible atmosphere”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

We have dined there many times and the food keeps getting better and better! A varied menu with many choices. the presentation was beautiful and the food even tastier. It more than compares with fine dining in large cities but the prices are better. I cannot wait to go back and sample more things on the menu. The atmosphere is great. Beatiful sunset and a nice breeze. This is a hidden jewel in Hunt, Texas

“You won't believe the quality!”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

My wife and I were familiar with the chef, Blas Gonzales who was previously a chef at Hudson's on the Bend near Lake Travis, and Lajitas Resort near Big Bend. Anyone who has eaten at either of these places know that the food was incomparable. Tonight, we had the Chicken Emplanado, which is smoked chicken breast wrapped in applewood bacon with a chili glaze and avomole sause. The sauce was so good, we were dipping our fingers in it even after dessert! The caprese brushetta was an inventive combination of caprese and brushetta and was fabulous. The main course was the hot and crunchy shrimp with mango jalapeno sauce which was as good as it sounds. We finished with a bread pudding with chocolate chips that was topped with vanilla ice cream. Unbelievably, the prices for the food was rediculously inexpensive. We are vacationing in the area, and immediately made reservations for the next two nights.

“One of the Best in the Greater Kerrville Area”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Best view of any restaurant in the greater Kerrville area and a very scenic drive from the highway to the top of the hill where the restaurant is situated. Very stylish but casual dining room. The restaurant was filled to capacity each time we've been. Short but interesting menu by Hill Country standards and it is obvious that the chef is putting effort into presentation and preparation. The wine list is fairly priced. Friendly and helpful staff though more training would be helpful; the quirks are not offensive and the very positive attitude overcomes the disjointed service that occasionally occurs. Definitely one of the best restauaunts in Kerrville.

“Killer view, unique and beautiful restaurant with solid food”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

Went on a Saturday evening at 6:30. I'd definitely recommend a reservation. Only a couple of tables when we got there but when we left the restuarant was full as well as all the outdoor seating. Restaurant is at the top of a hill and takes great advantage of the beautiful views. It's built on the top level of the pool area which takes the next two levels down the hill. Inside - the tables and chairs are all white - but comfy - which gives the interior kind of a chabby chic goes safari feel. My husband and I both liked it very much. The appetizer chicken fried venison fingers were very, very good - well seasoned and served with a tasty cream gravy. Shared a caesar salad also good. Hubby had the ribeye and I had the mixed grill - both perfectly cooked and tasty - and it's lots of food. I ate about a third of mine. Make sure to ask for bread with the rosemary butter if they don't bring it to you - we had to ask after we saw someone else with it - and it is delicious.Wine list is not extensive but you should be able to find something you like - we had a nice cab for $30. Only one house wine by the glass - I had a glass of the house chard and it was nice. Had chocolate cheesecake and new york cheesecake for dessert - both of us almost licked our plates clean. Will definitely go back - would be lovely in the fall.
