“A great local garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

This was a great way to take a stroll around a peaceful place in Humble. The paths weave through the property to several areas. We parked by the gift center but when leaving we noticed that there was more of the arboretum across the street. We don't know what we missed. Nice place to have a picnic or bring the kids for an adventure hike.

“Peace and quiet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

This gem, well it is bigger than a gem, more like a load is inside the 610 Loop off Memorial Drive on the south side of Memorial Park between downtown and the Galleria. Once inside you can't believe where you are. Check it out for quiet walks and programs for kids.

“A great place to walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Since the drought and hurricane Ike they have done a wonderful job of restoring Mercer, In addition to the garden they have a great children's play area on the west side of Aldine Westfield Road, They also have good picnic areas.
The walk to the new pond is worth the walk....just don't try to disturb the ducks in the pond as they aren't real.

“Good visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

I had a good visit to the Mercer Arboretum when I was in the area on business in October, 2012. There were still a few things in bloom despite the season. The trails weren't signed that well, and it was difficult to find significant facilities (like restrooms) on the posted map. The only other surprise was the lily pond/tea house. There are lilies around the pond (when in season), but it isn't a water lilly pond. The tea house also is more of an area along the pond for a break - not an enclosed building, and no services at the location. I am glad I visited, since there is no admission charge. The experience in the spring or summer might have been better.

“Great Escape”

We go here regularly and always enjoy the floral displays and walking the wooded trails. It is free and has some great photo ops. People often go there to take pictures for weddings, graduations, etc.
