The restaurant looks nice and is kept clean. They have plenty of food choices, Chinese, American, Japanese (Sushi) and a nice selection of desserts/fruits.

The Pepper Chicken was my favorite, very tasty, delicious sauce.
General's Chicken - Mediocre.
Spinach Rolls - Good, but filo dough was a bit buttery.
Crab Rangoon - Flattened to the point, I didn't try them.
Chicken "Stuff" Mushrooms - I liked them.
Pot Stickers - Nope, not so tasty.
Beef Dishes - Not so tasty.
BBQ Pork - Great, really tasty BBQ sauce too.
Chicken, Broccoli, and carrots - Delicious and light tasting.
Green Beans - Fresh cooked, but were overcooked/limp by the time we got to them.
Soft Serve - Very tasty.
Iced Tea - Well brewed.
I got an errant piece of honey dew melon...ugh, just short of rotten...but only one piece? But the watermelon was good.
So overall, it was "average". Chinese Buffet usually has hit or miss, but usually it seems like a "matter of opinion" in this case, the misses weren't something I could imagine anyone enjoying. FIX up the beef dishes and baked goods folks (Spinach, Crab Rangoon, and Pot Stickers)...they are signature Chinese foods we all want.

AND, although I didn't have any of the big red shrimps (not sure what they're called cause I don't eat shellfish)...but MOST tables on Sunday night had plates piled high with Shrimp and people kept going back...Sooooo, it appeared there were many happy shrimp eaters.

I'm going to give them another try for lunch, maybe it was an off night...let yo u know what I think after that.

Frank Lloyd Wright once said, "Mechanization best serves mediocrity". The owl logo on Tripadvisor may suggest that you probably already "get" where this review is going.
If you are perhaps lost on the access road lending a view of this glitzy and "Oh so NOT Frank Lloyd Wright" structure, starving, devoid of motivation, exhausted and will settle for just taking care of a basic need...... Ling's is a perfect find. There's a literal conveyor belt of automaton hostesses, servers, water bearers, tray fillers and dish collectors fluttering about with an endless drone of chatter and clanging in the background to serenade you while you "dine"?....no "eat" would be a more appropriate choice of words. There is such a visual excess of "grub" that I was "satiated" without consuming a morsel. This is a "potpourri" of cuisines....Chinese, Mexican, Cajun (crayfish galore) and some sorts of "non al dente" Italian (forgive me) pasta..... so "Buffet" is certainly accurate. The soup is hot (steam was visible) but I'm not sure how long it's was lingering in the pots...so I passed.
Not much that can go wrong with soft serve ice cream so I did indulge and it was as expected. If you aspire to an endless array of mediocre desserts and red neon glazed bananas....here's your spot! Oh...don't expect service with a smile, you'll have to beg for water which is slammed on your table and your bill will arrive before you've even contemplated viewing the epic carb dessert display.
I may have been rough on the food review but actually there is a saving grace to a stop at Ling's Buffet.....the fountain fed "Koi pond" and the "Chinese gift shop". The tension builds as you are contemplating a possible successful find. You continue to meander from the koi pond entrance to the lobby which offers an eye candy array of high quality and fairly priced Bamboo plants for sale. You think, "Oh, a gift shop too....I'll save that for an after dinner indoor stroll before leaving".
It is only at the point of passing the portal of the lobby to the restaurant "arena" that the nightmare begins. Sorta like "The Hunger (no pun intended) Games Trilogy". Hopefully, if you find yourself on that access road with Ling's Buffet in view on your right you will have some time to browse and.....most importantly, be free from hunger!

Price is very good, $8 for lunch and $10 for dinner.

And great selection of everything!

And surprisingly, the washrooms are very classy and clean!

Will return for sure.

Not worth the money. Went there on Friday, 12/6/13 at 5:30 pm. Maybe 15-20 customers. Observed that most pans of food looked like they hadn't been changed in a while since food was shriveled up and stuck on the sides. Green beans shriveled and dark as was broccoli & chicken dish. The brown rice & sausages were both dried up. Egg rolls & fried shrimp cold and greasy. Egg drop soup had formed a crust on top of it.
Told the manager about situation & he admitted food hadn't been changed since 4:00 pm. UGH!!!! Now know why it was so empty for a Friday night.

This place looks nice on the outside, but it's just another average Chinese buffet on the inside. Nothing special here. At least it's not bad, but it's not great.
