“Friendly staff, Quiet rooms, located near airport”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

This property located near Houston Intercontinental airport. As a Diamond, I was upgraded to a Studio suite on the 14th Floor and given access to the Executive Lounge on the 16th Fl. Our flight arrived Houston early and we had no problem checking in at 9:30a. I also requested an extended check-out at 2p the next day and it wasn’t a problem either. The Studio suite is clean and has ample space, with a separate sitting area. The executive lounge provided the standard continental breakfast: bagels, sponge cake, assorted cereals, juices and a machine that makes all kinds of coffee drinks ie. Café mocha, cappuccino, espresso, etc. Outside the breakfast hours there are soft drinks and water available for the taking. Staff is friendly and we had no noise problem during our stay. There was a soccer team from Tulsa staying at the hotel. The hotel gave each of its room a letter asking for self-restraint in terms of noise, reflecting the management’s proactiveness in ensuring a quiet stay for everybody. As for airport-friendly, they have their fleet of airport shuttles providing complimentary rides to/from Intercontinental

This hotel is very nice. I bid for a 3 1/2 * and got it for $40----$53 and change total on Priceline. I can't think of anything negative, except parking was tight. Employees were very friendly. Rooms nice.

Nice stay for $79/night with AAA discount for two queen room. Room was nicely appointed and clean. Slept well in the bed. They had a pack-n-play waiting in the room as requested. No breakfast included and breakfast looked kind of expensive. Has a Starbucks in the huge lobby but it isn't open on the weekend which was a huge bummer. The house coffee was terrible. There is only an outdoor pool so no swimming for the kids in December. If you want a newspaper have the desk put one by your door in the morning or they may be out by the time you get down stairs,

On the way and back to our trip to India we stayed in Hilton Houston North for two nights. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable beds in our 15th Floor room! This is one of the Hotel in US offers Airport free Shuttle and its a great service! The front desk staff at the hotel were friendly! The bell desk staff (Mr. Jimmy) were very helpful and friendly! You need a cab, just ask Mr. Jimmy at the bell desk!! The food is regular but the ambient is nice!
we will visit again!

I recently stayed overnight when I was stranded in Houston after a flight cancellation. After a long day of international travel, the hotel accommodated me as a 'distressed traveler' on a lodging voucher from United Airlines in the wee hours of the morning. This is one of the only hotels that runs a shuttle to the airport 24 hours a day. The front desk staff at the hotel was willing to contact the shuttle driver when pickup took longer than anticipated, and were extremely reassuring to me. The driver and front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The lobby is welcoming, and my room was spacious and extremely comfortable. I only wish I'd had more time to spend in this wonderful hotel. The one improvement I can think of is to move the smoking area away from the main entrance. It was unpleasant to wait for my shuttle the next day under a cloud of cigarette smoke. I travel to Houston frequently, and I will certainly return to the Hilton Houston North when I need to stay near IAH.

Dear Lisa,

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your stay (or I should say "unplanned stay") here at our hotel. I am so glad we were able to make your travel delay comfortable.

I did want to reply to your comment about moving the smoking area in front of the hotel. The area is designated as a non-smoking area and signs are posted. We try to chase people around the corner as much as we can. A while back we tried taking the ashtrays out of the area as we noticed it attracted people to smoking there. Then the problem was that everyone threw their cigarettes all over the entryway so we had to put them back. It is kind of a double edge sword.

Great hotel, friendly staff, beautiful rooms. Only complaint is pencil thin walls between rooms. Only managed to get 2-3 hours of sleep due to neighbors constant cough. By the time we decided it was time to change rooms, (4:30am) there was no point since we had to be up in another hour or so. Other than that beautiful hotel.

Once you enter your room...... Another story. No refrigerator, no microwave. No safe. We asked for a safe and were told they were in rooms on the 9th floor and up. Anything below the 9th floor = No safe . We were charged $10.00 a day, per computer to use the internet. They do not offer a FREE breakfast. We paid $17.00 a plate for breakfast. We stayed here for 1 week. Sadly disapointed! They do offer security...lol... During our stay we watched an elderly gentlemen patrol the parking lot in his golf cart. You can also find him taking naps during his shift.
The staff is very nice, professional and tried to accomodate us by bringing a small refrigerator to our hotel room. The cleaning staff was wonderful!
Our next trip to Houston we will NOT be staying at this hotel!

Room Tip: If you have no choice than to stay here. Make sure and have a room away from the elevator and ice ma...

Thank you for taking the time to fill out your comments on our hotel. You did a good job pointing out what we did well and what we can improve on. I do want to apologize that we did not meet your expectations in terms of in-room amenities like a safe, refridgerators and microwave ovens along with free breakfast. We recently added safes to half of our rooms and are planning to add more in the future. Unlike the smaller select service hotels, most full service hotels do not have microvaves in their rooms. Refridgerators are available on request and I was glad our staff offered to bring one to your room. Many select service hotels offer a range of continental breakfasts, some even with a hot item. Because full service hotels offer a full breakfast buffet, we charge for that product. Our hotel does offer a weekday and a weekend package that includes the full buffet breakfast.
