Nice hotel attached to the mall. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The over all hotel was feeling a bit tired but Houston as a whole was feeling a bit tired. The staff were very nice and very helpful.

Although the layout of the hotel is a bit confusing - it's not intuitive to know that the gym is on 1, lobby on 2 and mall entrance on 3 due to a lack of signage inside or immediately outside the elevators - I really loved the location, how quiet the rooms were and how friendly the staff is. Even though the hotel was fully booked with other guests, every time I ordered room service it was instantly delivered. Great business traveler hotel.

We made the mistake of planning our trip to Costa Rica with a stopover in Houston at the same time as Super Bowl so hotel prices were way too expensive. We managed to book a room at the Westin because we wanted to see and experience the excitement despite our scheduling error. The Westin is nice, but it needs some upgrades. Staff are very friendly as most people we had the pleasure of meeting while in Houston. We had wished that rooms came with free wifi as cellular data rates are very expensive for Canadians roaming, but we had to pay $10 for one night which we thought was ridiculous.

The check in process was horrible. I thought I would right a review before I even completed my stay They were busy, but then when we came to check in at 3:30 (after check in time) they told us they did not have our room ready, and they had not idea how long it would be until it was available. We had an event we needed to get ready for but could not shower etc before hand. So we begrudgingly checked our luggage with the concierge and left our number with the front desk with their promise they would call us as soon as the room was ready. We then ate and shopped, and had not received a call back at 5:45 so we went to go find out if they had an estimate in time. we found out they had our room available and they never called!! it made us very rushed and almost late for our event (later than we would have liked to arrive). The rest of the stay was ok, the bathroom was not very clean and becoming pretty dated. But the room was comfortable and the location was very nice for the Galleria area.

We stayed here this month for one night for my daughter's 16th birthday. It was a nice, clean room. Comfortable beds. Loved the location in the mall, where we could go to the room if we needed to. Friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay there again.
