This is a first class hotel with first class service. Tom, the general manager, made it a special occasion for us once he heard it was our anniversary. The staff was amazing. Eric, who helped us with our vehicle and luggage, was a gentleman and always excited to see us. Even a maintenance man was so kind and friendly, expressing his sadness we were leaving. The breakfast was perfect, which is typically not easy for us since we are vegan. Furthermore, it is so conveniently located in the theatre district. We stayed there so we could be close to the hospital district, which was a quick 15 minute drive from the hotel. The room was clean and the turn down service made it a bit more special. We returned to the room from dinner and our bathroom was refreshed. We will definitely be back because I feel as though I need to go back to see my new friends.

This hotel was a feast for the eyes; wonderfully curated artwork, well done interior design, every detail thoughtfully chosen right down to the china and serving pieces at the breakfast buffet. The food was excellent, including the breakfast buffet with the hot items actually hot and the scrambled eggs not dried out! The room was very comfortable including the bed, bed linens and towels and easily regulated temperature thermostat. Friendly, friendly staff. So nice. Can't say enough about this hotel. I wish I there were clones of the Lancaster in every city we travel to!

This hotel is amazing - the staff is impeccably trained - restaurant was delicious for dinner - breakfast was full of hot choices (bacon, eggs, sausage and hash browns) as well as bagels, fruit, yogurt and smoked salmon. Room was elegantly appointed, quiet and comfortable!

Stayed there two nights to see a play at the Alley Theater. Could not have been more convenient, right across the street. New remodeling was superb, service was excellent, and the included morning breakfast in a library like setting was a welcome surprise. We dined in the hotel restaurant the first night, and had a very pleasant experience there. The staff from start to finish was extremely helpful and courteous. Be sure and reserve through the hotel web site, e.g. Expedia sneaks in from Google with not as good a deal, and no 15% refund on restaurant tab!

Hello and thank you for the wonderful review! We love it when guests come to enjoy the amazing museum district here in Houston, especially the MFAH and Natural Science Museums. You are right! Our shuttle makes it a breeze to be dropped off and picked up from these locations. It was a pleasure to serve you.

This was my first time in Houston. I couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay at with my son! We loved the room. It was very nice to stay in a historic hotel with such nice artwork everywhere. It's in great proximity to the MFAH, Aquarium, and the Museum of Natural Science. It was really nice to use the complimentary shuttle to these locations. The service was spectacular. Everyone had a smile and was very polite. I will definitely be staying at The Lancaster anytime I have to go to Houston.
