The Omni at 4 Riverway has a resort-like feel and setting but is well located in the city. The outdoor pools and a large pond with black swans and the surrounding grounds gives a very relaxing feel to the hotel. But it is also well-suited to the business traveller. The nearby area has many office and shopping complexes, or if you need to go downtown for business or sporting events it takes 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.

The hotel offers a reliable shuttle service within a 3 mile radius. That may not sound like a lot, but it is enoiugh to get you to the Galleria shopping mall, or to some of Houston's fine restaurants, or offices for meetings. Book the shuttle in advance particularly during busy times of the day not to be disappointed. When you are ready to be picked up call to the concierge and the shuttle will pick you up. The Shuttle is a well-appointed black Lincoln Navigator

Join the Omni Select program that Omni runs at your first check-in. This will start to deliver immediate benefits like free internet and other services.

The rooms are excellent. The restaurants serve very good food. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. You will feel welcomed.

After traveling to Houston for many years now, this has become my favorite.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view over the outdoor pools and ponds with the swans

The shuttle service is too easy! Great suggestion, please give us as much notice as you have in order to reserve availability. Thanks for your great comments.

We stayed here for 3 weeks while relocating to Houston. The hotel is centrally located, but still a peaceful haven. Our bed was very comfortable and the staff were accommodating of our needs as long-term guests. The gym facilities are fantastic, and so is the pool. On the weekends this hotel tends to be mobbed with wedding guests, and once or twice was quite loud at night. Still, the staff acted quickly on any complaints and was very apologetic for disturbances caused. I wouldn't say I was blown away by the hotel, but it was nice, and clean, and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: The corridors are SUPER long, so ask for a room not too far from the elevator!

Stayed at the Omni for a long weekend with my son who is moving to the city. The staff is exceptional and the hotel is impeccably decorated. I am a designer and was so impressed by the decor that I took several pictures in order to duplicate the look for one of my clients. The lobby is welcoming, with plenty of seating areas so it is easy to meet with friends/business associates in a comfortable atmosphere. Rooms are very comfortable and the maid service is OUTSTANDING. Everything was replaced on a daily basis and arranged beautifully when you returned to your room. Above and beyond even most 4-5 star hotels. The hotel is fortunate to have such a great housekeeping staff. Bar area is nice...not terribly overpriced, and the gift shop serves Starbucks coffee, breakfast pastries and fruit at a reasonable price for those on the go. The free parking is a bit inconvenient, as it is quite a hike from the main hotel, but small complaint since it is free. Pool area is beautiful. I would say that for those picturing a hotel close to Galleria restaurants and nightlife, this is not the place. It is a little off the beaten track, as you have to get on the freeway for a bit to get to the main Galleria area, but the travel time is less than 10 minutes. All in all, a great experience. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Soundproofing was great. DIdn't hear a peep from other guests the entire time we were there...an...

Upon arriving in our hotel room we received a red heart balloon and chocolate-covered strawberries for our anniversary from the hotel. The service was impeccable in all areas, including the restaurant.

From the moment you step through the doors, you notice that there is something charming about this very elegant hotel that gives it a character all its own. This hotel has the feel of a luxury hotel from a different era. In the elevator lobby you notice the gold leaf elevator doors that are a hold over from this hotels former days as a Four Seasons. When you get to your room, you are rewarded with that same elegance. The fixtures and accents are all new but but are all put together to keep the old world feeling. The bed was very comfortable and the mirrors in the bathroom allowed you to see every angle (even some you may not want to see). :) The front desk staff were very helpful and the concierge knew the area well. There is even a 5 mile running path that takes you through a great park (if you can run in that humidity)!

I was here for a week long conference so I got to see the banquette staff in action as well. The rooms were perfect, the food was top notch and the servers were all very friendly.

All in all this was a great hotel and I would defiantly recommend.

Room Tip: I asked for a high floor city facing. Downtown is a long way off, but you can see it. Also a city vi...

The Omni Hotel in Houston is excellent in service, location and accommodation. Staff members are both professional and friendly. Guests are greeted each time they enter the facility. The setting offers large, open spaces and warm contemporary colors. Property is very clean and well-maintained. Pools are beautiful. Exercise room is very nice. Rooms are quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Everthing is in perfect order. Reward members are treated with extra perks such as complimentary internet and coffee service.

The only issues that I could see involve the location of parking and the jacuzzi. Free parking is located in an awkward area of the property as with the jacuzzi. A more convenient location for parking is offered for a modest fee. The jacuzzi seems to be located in a hidden area off to the side of the property. Locker room is very small.

In summation, the Omni is a great place for business or pleasure. It has my strongest recommendation for a perfect place to stay while in Houston.

Thanks you so much for the great feedback about our staff! Our Select Guest program is second to none, which is part of the reason Omni Houstels was just rated number one on JD Power. I will look into even more signage for the jacuzzi and complimentary parking area.

I was looking online for a fun granddaughter weekend getaway and Omni's Kids Fantasy Suite came up in a lot of my searches. The description of the room was all I'd been looking for.

I was very pleased with the suite. My granddaughters were thrilled with their room. They loved the colors and the decor. They couldn't believe all there was for them to do and had a lot of fun checking it all out. I was disappointed that the art table didn't have any art supplies and a good number of the electronics were broken.

The staff did an exceptional job of catering to the kids. Alvin, at the concierge desk, made the girls feel special and then followed up with them. The girls were made to feel special from room service, cookies and milk at bedtime to being talked to and noticed by the staff. They felt very welcomed.

I was disappointed by the breakage we discovered when we arrived and the total lack of art supplies for the art table. I would recommend calling ahead to request someone check the electronics before you arrive.
