I had the occasion to stay here twice for business recently (July and August). The property location is nice for the energy corridor. I was confused on parking the first time, since it's not well-defined or labeled (the front rows in the back fill up quickly). I finally did figure out how to get to the ramp. One criticism is that the rooms and hallways could use some updating; carpets, closets, iron/iron boards, etc. Another is that outside of the mini-bar or lounge, the only late night option for a coke is the gas station convenience store around the corner. Anyways, I upped my rating to 4* based on personal service - they do seem to care and want to make your stay great.

I knew the Omni was a nice hotel, but when I walked into the lobby, I was blown away by the elegance and cleanliness of the hotel. Dave, the front desk clerk, was very professional and accomodating to my requests. The friendly African American manager also ensured I had everything I needed and offered champagne or lemon water while I waited. Definitely a gem in the middle of Houston.

Stayed three nights over Labor Day weekend for my daughters nearby soccer tourney. We got a great rte thru their website for a Labor Day special $69 per night with 3 night stay. We had two adjoining rooms.
Did advace checkin and was ready to go as soon as we walked up to the front desk. easiest checkin ever.
Rooms were great. Comfortable beds. Lots of room. Large windows. The lobby is beautiful with the koi pond and atrium. There were always kids feeding the fish.
Ate breakfast buffet twice and was pleased. A little pricey at $18 PP, but it is a hotel... Dinner twice and the food was excellent. Our server was terrific! His name was Gonzalo. Ask for him to get great service!
Ate one lunch in the bar, and had quesadilla trio. Delish! My wife had the crab salad, and loved it. Large chunks of lump crab meat.
Very large pool area.

Very friendly folks and easy access to anywhere in the west Houston area.
Even though this is an older property, it is very well maintained and very well managed. Being here for three days felt like being at a resort! We will certainly return!

Room Tip: Bring a fan. the AC sruggles in the summer heat to keep up at night.

It is always refreshing when you stay at an upscale property and get exactly what you expect across the board with no unwanted surprises. This property delivered at every level across the board from check in to check out.

The front desk staff was highly trained, very efficiant, and super professional as was the resturaunt and bar staff. No request was was left unfulfilled.

Great 24 hr work out facility with every ultra modern piece of equiptment you could ask for, nice large pool area with palm trees and pleanty of comfortable chairs to relax in and soak up the Texas rays.

They offered pleanty of free parking and a covered parking garage, free WI FI internet service for loyality club members.

A most rare and strikeing aspect of this hotel is a huge indoor / outdoor, koi pond that covers the entire property from the driveway entrance all the way through the hotel lobby and out the other side, this just polishes off what is already a great property and sets it apart, very impressive.

It would be hard to find anything adverse to say about this facility, very highly recomenced, you can't go wrong here...

We have stayed here several times, once with kids and some without. The hotel is always quiet and super clean. The kids love the fish-- they can feed them and watch them from just about everywhere on the lobby floor. You can sit right next to them if you have a meal at the restaurant. If traveling with little kids beware that the upper floor halls do have areas where there is no banister or wall where the floor overhangs the lobby. This is great for looking at the fish, but can be sort of nerve wrecking for parents. The staff loves kids-- or seems to. One comment-- we stayed once for a competition and wanted to grab an early breakfast, but the restaurant didn't open as early as we would have liked-- it's not as convenient as the places with the free breakfast buffets. Service was a little slow, but the food was good.

Room Tip: Join the Omni club-- each time you stay at an Omni you get little benefits like a little travel bag...

Great value, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, if you park and enter thru the underground parking you'll hear music piped in - kind of a back entrance away from the front desk and straight to the elevators! Even tho our flat screen tv constantly had a line at the bottom we didn't complain b/c it was only for one night. Enjoyed feeding the fish, they even have complimentary apples and lemon aid by the front desk. Coffee at the restaurant was pretty good, choose the key lime pie over the chocolate pie!

Room Tip: The drinks in the fridge cost $$$ so byob! Make sure your television doesn't have a line at the...
