“Unable to finish breakfast.”

Arrived alone at a busy time for breakast. On my second visit to the buffet a server not only cleared my table but by the time I returned with an omlette but another guest was alreay seated and was being served coffee. Very unsatisfactory as there were no other tables available and I was expected to leave.

Aside of that, the room was a good Marriott standard, clean, well equipped and reasonably spacious. Front desk staff, friendly and efficient.

This hotel felt dated.
That's the only negative for me. Rooms were clean. Beds comfy. Gym was ok and pool was ok.
The staff however were wonderful. Everyone greets with smiles and all want to assist where possible. We had the buffet breakfast which was delicious and our server named Deroy couldn't have been more accommodating and chatty.
There are several restaurants within 5 minutes walk also.
All in all a nice stay.

I travel alot and have recently stayed for 6nights at this Marriott. I was appalled not only by the bedbugs but by the fact that any and every mosquito seems to be attached to the floors in the hallways. This may be due to the fact that the cleaning is minimal - this is the first time ever i have not seen a cleaning crew with a vacuum in a room after a room has been vacated. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all - you get the impression that the towels are changed after each guest and if you're extra lucky maybe the bed linen. The room is definitely not vacuumed and cleaned properly - as my colleagues in room carpets were in the same state.

They took two days to pick up my dry cleaning and that was only after i called down to complain that it still hadn't been picked up. The front desk clerk - bizarrely thought i was ruining his nap at 3am when i called down to ask to change rooms because of the bedbugs.

You can guarantee that the hallway will be full of dirt and the rooms - lets just say i had to move rooms twice- once because of bedbugs and the second time because the linen was soiled on the bed of the 'new' room they sent me to.

This hotel is in dire need of a new manager and a thorough clean - i'm completely disappointed by this. i dont expect perfection but cleanliness is a high priority for me, especially as like everyone else i don't want to be covered in bites. Unfortunately the showers are also a let down - the drain in the bath is of poor construction which means you have to hold it up to drain the shower water after you have showered.

To say i will not stay here ever again is not an exaggeration.

What some may call a deviant subculture, I attended a brony convention at this hotel in June of 2013. To my astonishment, this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. Expectations that which, unfortunately, came from reviews of the hotel I read before my stay. I'm not sure why other felt the need to bash the facility, but I thought it was fantastic. The hotel is not a luxurious hotel. For what it was worth, the stay was super pleasant. The low room rate was probably more of a disgrace than anything--I would have been willing to pay more!

As for the convention, it ran for a three-day weekend, and everything about the facility was fantastic. Rooms were spacious and the convention never got in the way of other hotel guests. Breakfast options are a little confusing, but with a little research and questioning, the pricing is pretty clear. Prices may seem steep, but the convenience is there. ($16 for buffet) The convention was having its first annual meet, and all things considered, everything seemed to go off without a hitch. The staff was excellent, the hotel meals were well prepared, and the environment was surprisingly comfortable. The lobby is so well equipped with furniture and social opportunities, that I rarely desired to spend time in my room. The only negative thing I can think of was that sometimes the elevators didn't seem like they were very efficient, but that also comes at the expense of moving a lot of people when a hotel hosts a convention.

I would recommend this for vacationing, conventions, business trips, and any large event a sizable hotel could have space for. The convention I attended had about 1,200 attendees, with plenty of room in the main ballroom at all times.

My one piece of advice: Coming from out of town? Avoid the Sam Houston 8 Hwy, unless you like paying expensive tolls.

Stayed at the Marriott Westchase for a weekend with the family..It's a very spacious hotel..The rooms were decent..Although when we first arrived, the room we were assigned to had not been cleaned..We were however quickly assigned to a new room..This must have been a very busy weekend for the hotel because it was quite noisy..Once you got passed the noise, the stay was okay..The location was near where we planned to go so this was a good thing..The room had all of the amenities we needed and the bed was very comfy :-) I would more than likely stay here again if need be..

Hotel desk staff and concierges were outstanding. Full service Marriott that could use an update and facelift, but very clean and well run. Comfortable bed. Good location. Internet was quick. Room had a microwave and a small refrigerator. I'll be back

I stayed here for a week in May 2013 for a business trip as the price i received was significanty cheaper than the Hilton Westchase where I normally stay. The main areas of the hotel are well maintained and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms were very clean but getting slightly dated. The gym and pool is fantastic, they have a small coffee shop that serves Starbucks which for me is a huge plus. Roomservice was great and the food in the restaurants was very good too. Overall, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again and actually it will be a tough choice compared to the Hilton Westchase.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Pool view
