The hotel was a so-so - however, considering the price of $90 we paid incl taxes per nite - it was fairly reasonable. We used a senior rate.

Pros:
(1) Clean
(2) Free parking

Cons:
(1) Holes in bedsheets/ pillowcases.
(2) Housekeeping - not very attentive and prompt - our room was not cleaned by 3pm and we had to call for service - maybe it was because of the christmas holiday. Also, coffee and shampoos not adequately replenished.
(3) Front desk - not too great though not too bad either - just mechanically did their jobs
(4) Calling the operator/ front desk - placed on hold for a long time - not once not twice but three times.

I would try another hotel next time although the hotel was not necessarily dismal.

We attended a wedding reception here on New Year's Eve for my nephew. We were so impressed with their service at checking, and during the reception. Special room rate for family & guests staying over was very reasonable. Late checkout was great since we were up so late. We even had left an item there & were quickly reunited with it. Clean comfortable room, great pillows!

Room Tip: Had a room at the end of the hall, very quiet!

Good place to stay for business. has decent breakfast and a little shop and shoe-shiner. Staff is super friendly. Bar is worth a visit as well with very good bartenders. Only downside is the rooms need an update...probably the entire building. The huge lobby space with window ceilings etc.. brings you straight back in the seventies...but not a bad time to be in.

Room Tip: great staff and service; if the rooms were updated it would be a solid 4 star. Without a 3-4 star.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. It was pretty modern, pretty clean, the people were pretty nice, the rooms were pretty large, and check in and out were pretty good. There is no WOW factor, but its fine. My one beef was the lady at the coffee kiosk who refused to make change because she "...already closed my drawer." Really?

We stayed here for a friend's wedding. We got an amazing deal for the location since we used a wedding code they provided. The room was presentable, but as I situated the pillows I noticed some unsightly stains on two of the pillows. They looked like urine on one and blood and pubic hairs on the other. Now, I wanted to jet out of there, but after inspecting the room thoroughly, it seemed like that was the only gross part of the room. Everything else looked spotless. We called down to housekeeping and they quickly replaced one of the pillows with a brand new one out of the plastic. The other pillow was the bolster so I didn't care if we had it on the bed or not. We weren't a fan of the comfort of the bed/linens but we have really nice stuff at home, so it's hard to compare. But the water was always hot and the room was always clean. I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you plan on a romantic getaway. It's better as a hotel you rest your head at night between activities. The best part and probably the reason I even give the place an "average" rating despite the gross pillows was the exceptional service. I can't say much about the front desk people (since we barely interacted with them) but the wedding reception had great service. They attended to all the guests and they did a great job managing around the hundreds of people there. Kudos to the staff. The location was nicely situated around everything and it was easy to find things close by. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I would recommend the location as a great hotel wedding site.

I stayed there for 4 nights in Nov 2012 on my trip to US for a client presentation. The hotel is excellent in every sense . There is a very nice restaurant complex with all possible varieties within walking distance from the hotel. If you are coming to Westchase area in houston , this is a very good choice.

I was there for an event. Nice hotel. The problem was that the next day I received a call from my bank about a fraudulent charge to my account. They posted the same payment twice. Calling the hotel was useless. The only answer they had was "our accounting department is closed today"...
