“Excellent seafood”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Service has a bit to be desired, noise level is energetic, and the tables close together so not what you want if looking for an intimate restaurant for quiet conversation. But the food is excellent! Our party of four ordered the crab cakes, seafood stew, and various other seafood dishes and everything was excellent. Now one of our favorite seafood restaurants in Houston.

“Wonderful seafood in a unique and fresh place, can´t miss.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

Not always good service and wonderful food are to be found in very classy and extremely fancy restaurants. This restaurant is the proof of what I am talking about. There was not a single thing I tasted which didn’t have wonderful taste: Crab cake, oysters (different kind, selection from various places) and a supreme tuna with a delicious unique sauce. So being clear that the food is absolutely over the limit, the service is likewise impeccable, we had a dinner without having to call the waiter once, they were always in alert. Now, the decoration and ambience- as mentioned- this is not an ultra-fancy place where you feel you can’t laugh (forget about loud) or even tell a joke… the atmosphere is relaxed, starting by the walls tainted with beautiful green-blue, the wine celery is awesome, it resembles to me like a big home wine celery with a huge glass wall which allows you to appreciate it (rustic, with a stair to reach the most high part of it), the tables not crowded, and lovely big rounded lamps. Bottom-line: now I understand why it was honored as the best sea-food restaurant in the US… this prize shall be given again, and if not, I want to know which restaurant could be better than this.

“Good Business Dinner”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

We rented out one their rooms for a business dinner. It was great. Fast service, unique food (we did a preset menu with a few options), and a lot of beverage selections. I would do it again.

“Fabulous fish if you can cope with the noise.”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

Reef is a very open plan restaurant and hugely popular, deservedly so. The food there - specialising in fish was absolutely delicious, different and interesting dishes beautifully prepared. The service was good as well, but I would say don't go here if you want a quiet meal, the restaurant is large and extremely noisy, however it was worth it for the food. I would definitely go there again. Don't try and get in without a reservation.

Everything we ordered was delicious. I had scallops which were perfectly cooked. Menu is flexible. Our server was attentive.
