It can be a great day to spend a rainy Saturday or Sunday. Not only is it entertaining, it's educational and fun. Just dress comfortably, especially the shoes.

I'm very glad that we went. It is rather pricey for what you get but I think it is a must see for Houston visitors. Paid 6 dollars for parking and $20ish each to get in. Took the tram first thing. They cram you into the seats which was VERY uncomfortable. Enjoyed the various stops but prepare yourself for climbing stairs...lots of them. Best to wear sneakers vs. flip flops. I would also say this is NOT a place for toddlers. Too many screaming while on the tour.. Also, very difficult to hear the tour guide when visitors are talking among themselves VERY LOUDLY and the staff never asked them to quiet down.

That was the highlight of the visit. Not much else to see there. The gift shops were reasonably priced though.

Spent $6 to park and then $24 to get in (with a senior discount)!!! First thing we saw was a snake show like at a zoo. Tram took us to the Space center where amock up of the now defunct Space Shuttle was there. All you saw was the open bay with a lot of wires. Better view of a real shuttle at the Smithsonian and it doesn't cost a cent.

What a valuable trip this is! If you are in Houston with time to spare, spend an afternoon here to appreciate the majesty of the space program from its inception to the present day. You will see replicas of the major space vehicles, rockets, lunar modules and rovers while appreciating in person the magnificent size and stages of the Saturn V rocket. The talks, films, tours and hands on exhibits make it well worth the visit. For those with AAA memberships, children and senior citizens, there are discounts. Food is also available. You will come away with a new appreciation for the dedication and creativity of the space program.
