“Pretty much perfect”

We've stayed at this hotel about 4 or 5 times now. Really great. Close to the Galleria, but far enough so that its not a pain to get in and out of there. As a Hilton Diamond, have always been upgraded. Very clean, hotel is 100% no-smoking. Its where we almost always stay now when we go to Houston.

Considering the prices of nearby hotels in the Galleria area, this place is an amazing value! Staff clearly makes a noticeable effort to be cheerful, welcoming, and far beyond helpful. Rooms are not only immaculate, but also provide luxurious touches, such as granite counters and trim, a bed that adjusts from plush to firm, a flat-screen TV, ergonomic work chair, etc. I wouldn't think about staying anywhere else!

Held a meeting at the facility. Staff was fantastic, breakfast was great. I am a Hilton Gold VIP, so I have seen a lot of Hilton Properties. This is one of the better ones.

I am actually staying at this hotel whilst I type this review.

I am moving to Houston and have stayed here the last 10 days. The hotel and staff are great. The hotel's only been open 8 months and it shows. Everything in the rooms and the circulation areas are pristine.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Wireless is free and accessible from anywhere.

For its location the hotel is great value and highly recommended.

This is the first time we stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn - usually we stay at the other Hilton brands, i.e. Hilton, Homewood Suites. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised - this hotel is geared towards business travelers but the facilities are equally appealing for tourists. Especially useful was the 24hr business center which allows you to surf online and print documents, photocopy. We did research online from our hotel room and were able to go to the business center (access via room key card) at our convenience to print and pick up on demand - the printer does not print until you access the queue. The first floor has a very open floor plan with a combined restaurant/spacious lobby area - good place for meeting friends or business associates. Breakfast was typical - cooked to order eggs, omelets, and typical breads, cereals. As Hilton Diamond members, breakfast was included. Otherwise, $22 for two. The coffee was awful, unless you like it very strong. We did stay in a suite and I agree with a previous post that the a/c is loud (think a/c wall unit as opposed to central air) but we're urban folk, so it didn't bother us. The shower was great, the bed was comfy, and the suite was spotless - no complaints. The staff was courteous and professional - one staff member even helped us track down a nearby CVS store carrying Blue Bell ice-cream. My husband was approached by a scammer(clean cut well-dressed gentleman) in the parking lot - the scammer claimed he needed money to get gas for his car so that he could see his wife who had ovarian cancer. This is an old scam that we've come across both in TX and NY - it's a scam and if this happens to you, don't fall for it. We turned him down and he tried it with another hotel guest - this time in the lobby. The scammer ran off the property when he saw us alert the hotel staff. I was satisfied with the hotel response - this can happen anywhere and once the hotel staff was alerted, they took prompt action. Alll in all, it was a perfect location - we did not visit The Galleria shopping center but it is a short drive away (not within walking distance - especially laden with shopping bags).

We stayed two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Galleria. This is a new property - so the hotel is very nice. The pool area, while small, was great! The workout facilities were good - the machines are not top quality, but for this type of hotel they were in great shape. Our room was great, very clean! The staff was great and always helpful. The Galleria area is a great part of town, great shopping & food are very close.

The only drawback to this hotel is the 2 sketchy properties that surround it - but that is typical of Houston. On one side is a condemmed apt building and the other property neighbor is an upscale strip club. We only were leery of this at night walking in from the parking lot, although the hotel does have security guards on the property patroling 24/7. The rest of the neighborhood is very nice and has been redone with new hotels and apartment complexes.

We would stay at this property again if we visited the Houston area.

This is one of the best business hotels I have every stayed at. A superb free business centre with free internet, printers, fax etc... Really good. Rooms are huge, very quiet and comfortable. Food at breakfast was awesome. They even made me fresh oatmeal porridge - I'm from Ireland. Cannot fault one thing and is very close to the super galleria shoping center.
