“So many FUN events, and it's always FREE!”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

This place is a great place to go any day...well, not if its raining. They are always having something going on from all sorts of genres. There are concession stands with snacks and the prices are reasonable for everything. You can either show up the morning of to grab tickets to sit under the pavilion, or just arrive an hour or so before the show with your picnics from home (no glass bottles) blankets or lawn chairs, and sit on the massive hill and watch the sun go down and the curtain go up! They have all sorts of shows, movies, performances, etc. throughout the year. We went recently to see the Dance Theater of Harlem perform and it was amazing. The sunset was beautiful, the performance was flawless. It's so hard to believe that you get to see such talent for free. I definitely would recommend it and go again. Get on their mailing list to stay updated on events! Its good for families, dates, anyone and everyone. Keep in mind that its open to the public, there are no sections on the hill, so you will be mingling with others around you who might like to make a little bit more noise than you do, so you may have to work around that...but you'll get that anywhere.

“Looking for a place to take the kids?”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

Between here and Discovery Green you'll always find something for the family. If you're just out and about, you could stop by and there will be something going on here, if not you can run on the hill and watch people exercise. It's one of the highlights of Houston.

“Chill Night Out”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

This place is great for a date night, or a chill night with friends. Make sure you bring a blanket to sit on, and plenty of booze if that's your thing. There is also a vendor open selling food which helps support the theater. I would take some snacks just in case you don't see anything you like. Parking is relatively easy this time of year (August). Everyone who lives in Houston should check this place out at least once, or if you're in town visiting its in a great location to downtown and the medical center.

Great seating. Excellent performance. The only drawback was the wind dying down and the fans didn't help.

“Relax at Miller Outdoor Theater”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Pack up a picnic basket and relax with family or friends on the grassy hill, watch a top notch performance or listen to a wonderful musical. All for free. We have gone for close to a dozen times over the years and have never encounter any problem. Absolutely love it.
