Go online and get a schedule of events. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and take the family or just yourself to a night out under the stars watching a play, listening to the symphony or another group and always, always see their special productions. The fourth of July is a real treat ending with a fireworks display that always produces applause. No one special in your life this weekend than take your self, people watch or get to know one of the friendly fellow Houstonians on your right or your left. Take some bubbles and attract some new friends. This should be one of your favorite places to take yourself or a friend. Take a book to read prior to the performance or visit the Japanese garden. You can obtain a seat but I love sitting on the hill. They do have amazing children productions on Saturday mornings at 11 for children. Then take them to visit the zoo. What a day. Not enough, still raring to go well cross over to the Imax, the museum, the children's museum, view the statues that surround Mecom Fountain. Take a train ride around the grounds, paddle the boats, take a power walk on the trails or ride the real train that runs past the grounds to downtown.
