Broadway plays, symphonies, and many other delightful evenings of entertainment here. You won't regret this choice! Comfortable seating, no bad seat in the house.

Like theater? Well, Houston, specifically the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, is a great place to experience this! Season Tickets are available for different types of venues - Musical Theater, Opera, Concerts, Plays...whatever your passion, Houston's Hobby Center has it all!
I have been to numerous Musicals here, and not been disappointed and the Opera was grand!
Easy to find off I-10 with lots of parking available, including valet parking - just don't expect to get away soon after the show - getting out is pretty tedious...so just kick back, turn on the tunes in your car, and relax for a while.
Often you can catch the actors coming out the side door of the theater and get autographs. Fun for kids or fans alike!
There's a small store where you can find show posters, t-shirts, and other "stuff" from not just the current show, but many other shows as well.
So, if theater is your passion, get on the internet or give them a ring on the phone and order your season tickets or even just tickets for one show. Ordering is easy and it's really easy to pick up your tickets at "Will Call" in the lobby.

The theater is intimate, and the show "Lizzy" was amazing! It is extremely well done. It is the story of Lizzy Borden, which takes place in 1892, and has been turned into a rock opera. I recommend that you read about it before you go see it. We also loved the little beer garden outdoor section which they have made as a fun conversation area, and the drinks are great!
I think this play is for adults.
A note for tripadvisor: You are forcing me to fill in the blanks with your prompt, and my answer will be incorrect, as you do not have an option for my correct answer. & I cannot submit without answering with an answer, which will not be correct. This is the second review in which this is happening. This is an adult play, and I suggest that you read about it first. It is very well done, as I have already mentioned.

This is such a nicely sized venue. Small enough to me intimate but big enough to large scale productions. The restaurant next door (Artista) is nice for dinner before but, they also serve a lighter meal in the lobby which looked very nice as well, just more informal. The food at the restaurant was not outstanding and slightly over priced but you can't beat the location for dinner before the show. The bar at the restaurant is nice for a drink before a show but beware, they are NOT open after a show is over. This is very disappointing although there are quite a few nice establishments in the area that you can walk to.

The building itself is modern as is the interior. The theater has an older feel to it and is nicely set up. The emplolyees are all usually nice and laid back. Food can be good. Of course prices are ridiculous. There's a nice outside area on the second floor that looks into downtown. Parking is $10 but they have valet. Seats are comfortable. It's within walking distance to bars and restaurants too.
