“A Nice Respite from Houston Noise”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Yes, you can still hear the traffic on Bissonet & Montrose, but you're tucked away & isolated from all of the distractions that Houston has acquired over the years.

“Solid free attraction”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Not a great collection, but it's free and worth a walk through after visiting the MFA or Contemporary Art Museums near by.

“Nice lunch spot”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Had lunch from the taco truck in the sculpture garden which was a nice break from the museum. Some of the sculptures don't grab me, and the plaques listing the names of the pieces and sculptors are rather small and sometimes not obviously placed.

“In beautiful weather, it's lovely”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

The sculptures themselves. . well .. .. . I'm not a fan of most contemporary art - it's simply too difficult to determine its merit. But there are a few pieces in this garden that are fun to look at. . and the setting, can't be beat. Lovely little garden sprinkled with benches. We were visiting the museum, and toured that garden because it's right nearby, and the weather was incredibly lovely. Houston can have wonderful weather in the fall, winter, and spring. Summers. . .ehhhh.
It's a very small garden, but worth taking a look, and could be quite romantic, too.

“Decent Sculpture Garden”
Reviewed November 11, 2012 via mobile

Don't expect a very large garden--it's about 20 pieces in a smallish setting. But! It's free to enter, and there is a free parking lot right next to the garden, making this a nice stop in the Museum District.

TIP: There are tables and chairs at the entrance, and some nearby food trucks, making this a nice outdoor lunch spot!
