“Makes a great impression (on meat lovers), but go hungry!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

If you're trying to make a good impression, the ambience, food, and service at Fogo de Chao will not disappoint you! I invited some of my co-workers to lunch there to thank them for their help on various projects. Before we went, I joked that they might want to wear their stretchy pants because the all-you-can-eat selections will temp you to overindulge (think Thanksgiving dinner). I also suggested that they dress up a little, but when we got there, there were other diners in old jeans and t-shirts receiving the same great attention that we got.

As a card-carrying vegetarian, I grazed happily on the ample salad bar while my meat-loving guests tried one meat selection after another. Granted, it was more expensive and took longer than a typical work-day lunch, but I know my guests felt appreciated. My only "complaint" is that they are not open on Saturdays for lunch.

“Interesting but...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

The physical layout of the restaurant is very nice. It is open and airy. The bar is nicely placed, open but still can be intimate. The martinis are very pricey at $11.00 although they are well made and had a distinct taste of the spirit you chose. Some places use an overwhelming amount of the mixer and the result is too sweet or too weak. Not so here. The salad bar was nice but not really outstanding in any way. The meats, while nicely presented and obviously a good quality, were all VERY over-salted and it is for this reason that we will not return. The taste of salt overwhelmed the taste of the meat in every instance, including he chicken legs (the least salted/best tasting). The service was prompt and attentive, the atmosphere very nice but for the price, I want to taste more than the salty seasonings.

“There are better churrascarias in Houston.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

This place is way too gringo-fied for somebody who has enjoyed the best churrascarias Brasil has to offer. They can't even get the simple yet iconic Caipirinha right. The service is mediocre as is the food and it's more expensive than Chama Gaúcha which is right up the road. Not my first pick for Brazilian food in Houston.

“Right place to eat quality meat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

If you are a meat person and i mean real meat not fast food crap that's definitely the place for you. I have been to different Brazilian restaurants all of which has almost the same dining concept but this chain is the best so far. Alcatra and Picanha being my personal favorites they serve different cuts of meat and all is fantastic. Salad bar and side dishes are also quite good.

“Food festa!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

The concept of this restaurant is the all american abundance combined with the great Brazilian way of preparing and serving meat. A huge variety of meats is brought to your table and the salad bar is out of this world. I have been there several times and its always a very busy place so book in advance. The atmosphere is great and Fogo de Chao is the best churrascaria in Houston in my opinion.
