A favorite for seafood for us. Their Sunday buffet is probably one of the best in town, always packed. My favorite dish is blacken Opelousas. This is a killer dish. Was here a few weeks ago for coworkers 20th anniversary with the company. Everyone at work likes this place. I knew they had a special on oysters, dozen for ~$6 awesome. Everyone was either jealous or grossed out when the tray on stand came out. Everything on he menu is tried and tested (the reason we all love a return) finished with a bowl of seafood gumbo, very good. Excellent service! Boss paid love that. Advice: do not let them put your large group in the corner tables, can't stand seating there, they have back rooms with big tables that are much better. Not sure why our group does this, every time.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen makes such great fish dishes that you could try anything and you will be delighted. THeir food is PERFECT. First try their GREEK SALAD. You will want to eat all of it, but usually you will need to share it. During certain seasons they serve potatoes and crawfish. Now that is a treat. Hard to find the crab meat but that is the fun. YOu will be licking your fingers.
I love their catch of the lay with one of their sauces- I like the buttery sauce with the crabmeat on the catch of the day. You will be back.

Variety - check. Fresh - check. Interesting food pairings - check. New drink combos - check. Reservations in advance - check. Seated on time - double check. Attentive wait staff - uh no. Waiting 15min for water - check. Drink orders placed at beginning of meal showing up during appetizers - check. Wrong appetizers - double check. Salad forgotton - check. Only one meal in five arriving at the table - check check. Other 4 meals arriving when the first is nearly cold - check check check. Green beans on side served stone cold - CHECK. Side of broccolini instead of spinach forgotten - BIG CHECK. This could be an awesome place ... but somewhere between the kitchen, the bar, and the waitstaff - it is just mediocre. We won't go back. Too many other restaurants in the area with good service from bar/kitchen all the way to table.

The food here has always been splendid on the variety of occasions I have visited. Appropriate for a family or business meal, this restaurant sits at a decent price point for what is offered. Do make a reservation (more than 24 hours in advance only) as they do get very busy. This is especially important if you have a large family.

I love this restaurant and have enjoyed it many times on special occasions with friends and family. Thought the prices have increased steadily and I don't go as often, it is still a great place for special occasions. I love their gumbo and Costa Rican Tilapia. I also reallly enjoy the bread pudding. I have never tasted anything I did not like from the menu. Service is usually super polite, friendly and professional. My favorite is the original restaurant on Westheimer, which has a charming courtyard and beautiful rich wood accents.
