“Yummy, and uncrowded”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

Great experience. Group dinner after a meeting. Not crowded, easy to park, good food, easy to work with, PLUS cheerful separate checks. Just be careful of the bread: It is soft bread, loaded with butter and garlic, and one isn't enough.

“Relaxed value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Friendly restaurant in the middle of Houston's artistic (read: gay) neighbourhood, and the owner and waiters also appear to be of that persuasion.

Very good value meals that come with a nice and spicy lentil soup and a nice salad included. Garlic bread galore as well. Mains were of decent quality, not top notch but for this price more than acceptable. Really good house wine also reasonably priced, loved their Pinot Grigio.

Options for indoor and outdoor seating.

“Great Food & Service with Low Prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Four buddies out for the evening at a pub looking for a good place to eat close by. One of the guys had eaten at Riva's once before. He said the food was good, nothing fancy, and it was priced right. So we took a chance based on his word. Since I love plain, home-style Italian food, I can't understand how I was unaware of this place until last night. Great lentil soup, a fine garden salad and penne pasta with roasted pancetta in alfredo sauce, along with incredible garlic bread. $10.95 total. I could only eat less than half of the pasta, and had enough to share the leftovers with my wife for lunch today. But it's not about the quantity or the price. Everything was fresh and delicious. All four of us came away with plans to visit again soon. I'm going to show up with my wife for Sunday brunch and check out their bottomless Mimosas for $8.95.

“A relaxing Sunday brunch spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

What a nice place to have Italian food in the Houston Montrose....enjoyed the ladies and lads laughing over their mimosas and the friendly waiter.
Burger was good, capellini very good, eggs maybe not my very favorite (but okay.)
