I think that it's probably best if you know what you want (and also, what's available on the menu) prior to a visit. When I asked about a side salad, I was told that this was not an available option. I later found it on a side menu, and ordered one separately, but I would have hoped that the person taking orders would have been more knowledgeable.
The atmosphere is semi-southwestern, with a good dose of 1970's hamburger restaurant thrown in for an odd experience. One orders at the front counter and then picks up food from a central distribution area.
The restaurant seemed to be very popular with families with small children, which made it a less-than-peaceful ambiance. Outdoor seating was available. The portions were quite generous, and the food was reasonably good.
