first time dining here on business trip. Service was exceptional. Attentive, accomodating and no request was too big. Couldn't decide between ribeye and ny strip. waiter had a great solution to get a ny strip that was more marbled to have more flavor. salad bar is fresh with nice variety, and the breads at the salad bar were excellent. good wine list but a bit pricey. Franciscan Cab at $12.95 a glass was over the top. huge dessert tray but the trio of three desserts was limited. lemon merengue was best choice by far. They have an off menu cinnamon decaf coffee that was a treat. definitely recommend you ask for it. they don't accept reservations so get there early or be prepared to wait. even the waiting area is a surprise. there are tables and free popcorn, chips and salsa to nibble on while your waiting.

We’ve been going to Taste of Texas for the last 13 years, not only for family special occasions but also for business events. The place always has something new to offer. And the staff makes you feel like home. Regarding the food, the salad bar is excellent and the meat is a trip to heaven. Coming from a meat-eating country –Argentina- I have to say it’s one of the best places for meat-eaters in the world. And all the starters and side dishes go well too with the main ones. Warning: don’t try the pecan pie. You’ll become instantly addict and will not able to stop until you finish all.

That is a traditional Texas steak house! The filet mignon witg garlic butter sided by the Potatoes Gratin are something you just can't explain! it is more expensive than the usual prices in Houston, but it is definitely worth a visit.

This place is really good and I am amazed that a place so large has such a good quality product. We were in town for business and brought some customers here based on a friends recommendation. The staff is very friendly, they are very attentive and the steaks were fantastic. They have a massive salad bar and they even had a bull that you could take pictures with in the parking lot. I have no complaints everything was on point but I warn you to bring plenty of money. You are going to pay top dollar but I believe you get yoyr moneys worth which is important. Nothing ruins a meal worse than feeling you got ripped off. I highly recommend them anyrime your in town and want a good steak dinner.

This was our "go to" place for special occasions, due to the costs. Special steaks (choose your own, if you like), great sides, lovely salad bar, great service. Even waiting an hour or so had its perks...free sodas, popcorn, and chips and salsa. I suppose the economy got to it. Still great steaks, salad bar is really good but smaller, fresh cooked breads. It also seems that they have added tables (much more crowded) and waitstaff more busy. Felt rushed. Noisier too.
