i was in houston for a quick turn-around business trip and this restaurant made all the difference. it's right across the street from the Indigo Hotel in the Galleria area. the restaurant appearance is a little on the cheesy side, but the servers and food are wonderful. i went in thinking i'd just get a soup and salad, but threw that silly notion aside once i started reading the menu. i ended up ordering the King Alexander Shrimp. It was perfectly stuffed with a crabmeat mixture, accompanied by a huge scallop and angel hair pasta. You have to be hungry to order this dish. The flavors and textures balanced each other perfectly. The greek salad that was served first was very fresh and just the right size. This is a good place to go with a group or as a solo traveler. You will feel welcomed no matter what.

Let me start out with an OPA! A Greek word that people in the restaurant randomly shout out at various points of being entertained...

We entered with only 2 tables full on a Saturday night, as a group of seemingly elderly (sorry guys) made preparations on the stage to play live music, and thought how silly of us to make reservations... An hour later, every chair in the restaurant was occupied, the band had impressed us with the very lively, enthusiastic and authentic Greek music; and a lady wearing what I would best describe as an "I dream of Jeannie" costume appeared in front of the band...oh my, she was a belly dancer, a really good one!

Our waiter was awesome, the sampler was incredible, and the charred Octupus is a must...

Small, entitling, super friendly service. Prices are medium $$$. Try the stuffed grape leaves, spanikopita and Dolmathies. I just died a range if appetizers. Great. O yes try the saginaki. Spelt it wrong but it's the melted cheese. Fantastic

We had a birthday party for 35 tonight and it was the most amazing, awesome celebration I have had. The food was outstanding, large portions, the service was excellent and attentive, the entertainment and belly dancer were excellent. My guests all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the belly dancer was a pleasant surprise, I have had several celebrations at other restaurants and this was best. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to enjoying many more celebrations here.

There are table clothes on the tables. Real Greek Food on the Menu. The Caviar dip is outstanding. The food can be greasy and heavy depending on what you order. Live Music. Great place for a date. Pricey but Good.
