My family has been going to Christie's for about 70 years now. We've been with them when they had several restaurants, and have continued with them as they've narrowed down to this one restaurant. Saying that, I personally haven't eaten there in a few years. I was pleasantly surprised to find that their food is still delicious. The oysters on the half shell were very tasty and fresh. My family ordered the fried shrimp, the stuffed shrimp and the stuffed crab, all tasty. The onion rings and rolls were good as well. The only thing no one liked were the au gratin potatoes; the cheese sauce seemed like plastic. Also, the décor is dated, the ceiling tiles are stained, and there is dark discoloration along the flooring in the bathroom, but my family said that they can obviously see a fresh coat of paint inside and outside the restaurant since the last time they went. There's a beautiful hand painted mural of shrimping boats in the main restaurant, really a delight to see. Service was attentive, and clean white table cloths were on the tables. I also noticed plaques in the entryway for kitchen cleanliness awards. I'm looking forward to going again soon.
