What a meal! I cannot recommend this salad enough. Before you dismiss me for recommending a salad at a Cajun restaurant, hear me out:

When it arrives at your table, ALL you see is a mound of fried buffalo crawfish mixed with some roasted corn... practically two pounds of the little guys! There's so much protein that you have to start eating crawfish just to expose any lettuce, ranch, or other "salad" things. To the casual observer, ALL you're eating is a big pile of crayfish. I've never had a salad where the meat on top completely covers the salad.

My only regret is not taking a picture. Can't say enough good things about the place.

As always, the food was great. I had the shrimp po'boy and my wife had the half and half (fried crawfish and crawfish ettoufee). The shrimp was the best this side of NOLA with hush puppies that were done just right. The ettoufee was spicy but the gravy was a little weak. The fried crawfish were nearly perfect. Did not know what to expect since it is n9w a Mandola restaurant but it lived up to its own history. Outstanding.

Im from South Louisiana but this the best restaurant gumbo I've ever eaten & I've eaten it everywhere. It's a casual place with good service.

Went to Ragin Cajun on Richmond for dinner - what a different, but fun experience. The decor on the walls makes it a good "sports-type" restaurant and the red/white checked tablecloths are basic, yet functional.
No table service - but the guys behind the counter were really helpful. The oysters were superb and the horseradish accompaniment was delicious - something we're going to introduce in Cape Town.
Shared a bucket of crawfish which was flavoursome and tasty - bit messy, but that comes with the territory.
We'll be back to taste other delicacies off this menu!!
