If you like a nice patio setting, an eclectic menu, and good service for a big price...this might be the place for you. Overall decent experience but food was overpriced. There's no parking lot so you can either find parallel parking on the street or pay for valet. Restrooms were such a disappointment as well. I expected something cleaner and with better upkeep at the prices we were being charged for the food. I was also disappointed that they included gratuity even though we were only a party of 4.

We dined at Daily Review for the first time to try a new place. Though the atmosphere was pretty nice due to nice weather in Houston and the service was great, the food really didn't live up to the prices. We had:
Caesar salad...run of the mill, nothing special
Southwest eggrolls...better at Chili's
Chicken Pot Pie(suggested by server, told that it is a signature dish)...more bread and cabbage than anything and the frozen Marie Callender's is better and meatier.
Grilled Salmon Tostada....bland salmon buried under a lot of vegetation

In my opinion, I feel that you are paying for the atmosphere and service, the food is an after thought.

Food is great here with a nice menu selection. Beautiful outdoor patio dining and a good inside loop location.

We dined at Daily Review Cafe with a Groupon deal and were very pleased. The food was very good, the service was good, and the atmosphere was fabulous! I recommend this restaurant for a great getaway dinner within the city, as long as you take advantage of the outdoor seating!

Pleasantly not noisy (which is one of my biggest complaints about most restaurants these days). Food was delicious! Unusual and very tasty - Mahi Mahi wrapped in thin slices of potato on a bed of spring greens and large chunks of portabello mushrooms (also dusted with crab meat but I didn't think it added much to the dish). The Achiote Grilled Shrimp was very good too. But the best find was the cheese plate for dessert! The plate drizzled with honey, five cheeses, berries, grapes and walnuts - soooo delicious and such a nice idea for dessert! Wine selection was good. Overall a bit pricey but with the nice atmosphere and unique selections, very much worth it.
