Great spot to study, write, draw or just ponder existence. Good coffee and even better baked goods. Grab a beer at night and have a quiet conversation on the patio. Open late so the great debate is this: Coffee or Beer?

Agora is a cool space to hang out...and maybe do a bit of studying. Expect a college-age crowd puffing it up outside near the entrance. If you show up on a day like we did, you may even catch them strumming the guitar and singing along in a small group of 10-15. Inside, the place is cozy and full of plenty of tables (including an upstairs, good-sized seating area with a view to the floor below). There's a jute box for tunes, but I'm not sure if it was working or just for decor. For my wife and I, it wasn't too noisy to get some work done...but we're not the library type. The music was a bit scratchy (skipping, etc.), though, which wasn't ideal.

They serve a good selection of beers and wines at decent prices. We didn't try the coffee, but there was a nice selection. My wife had a mango smoothie, which was over-sweetened but otherwise pretty fresh.

All in all, this is a fun spot with some character. As long as you know what scene to expect, we think you'll enjoy it.

Granted, I haven't been to a huge number of places, but this is my go-to spot for coffee, studying, and informal meetings. Good coffee, bottomless cups, free wifi, comfy couches, and open from 9a to 2a. After a long day of studying, you can opt top it off with beer. What's not to love?
