“loved the different food and service...”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

The restaurant had great tasting food. As an Indian, I loved the different type of dishes. Will definitely go back to try some of the dishes on the menu I could not try in one sitting.

“Love it for a quiet brunch”
Reviewed May 28, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A lot of brunch places in Houston are Sunday mad houses, Indika was quiet except for our big party (12-14). The food is amazing and surprising. The service, especially Cali who took care of us like she was the owner, was perfect. This is now on our short list of regular places to go.

“Indika is good.”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Service very good. Food pretty good. Ambience excellent. Would go back with my non-Indian friends for a nice evening out. Priced a bit high but you get the experience with it which probably makes it worth it in that neighborhood. Very cool space.

“Different in a nice way!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

I am a big fan of Indian food; it is actually my favorite cuisine! I ended up at this place by simply googling for a nice Indian restaurant in Houston and this was the closest one to my current location at the search time!
The place is amazing, it is different than the typical Indian restaurant..it is more like a fusion Indian food! Unlike other Indian restuarants and unlike the Texas food culture, the portions are not huge so you need to pay attention to that. However, the taste was incredible and the service was professional.
We have a vegi samosa (It was different as they added a sweet sauce to it), mixed salad, shrimp masala (which was totally different that the typical masala plates that usually come with thick gravy) and Chicken Biryani.
I will visit again for sure.

“a perfect indian-inspired modern spot”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Just don't expect an indian restaurant in the literal sense. Indika's roots are certainly there, but it boldly ventures into not-quite-so-Indian treats such as foie gras. And since it delivered the best fois gras I have had in this town, how could I blame them for that?
The place feels just perfect for almost any occasion that requires a nice, but not too formal restaurant quiet enough to allow for a proper conversation. I have tried it for both romantic dinners and business dinners with well traveled foodies, and it never disappointed. They also have a solid selection of cocktails, including (so I was told) non-alcoholic ones.
The service is pleasant and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere and is nice, modern, and not stuffy.
