Personally, I find the Pappas restaurants overrated and overpriced. Yia Yia Mary's is the exception to my "rule."
The bar is energetic, lively, and (usually) packed...just like the dining room. So if you want speedy service, go on a weeknight.
The portions are generous, and we find that an appetizer and entree is filling enough for the two of us, and still leaves enough room for the FABULOUS Baklava Cheesecake, which is OMG GOOD!!!!!
For appetizers, try the Baked Feta in tomato sauce or the Saganaki. (Can't go wrong with cheese!)
For the entree: our favorite is the chicken souvlaki, served over a bed of fragrant rice and with a side of either the green beans or sauteed greens.
Pair your dinner with one of the Greek wines (we prefer the Greek whites, even though we're "red people"), and you have a dinner to write home about.
