Great choices for a breakfast included with stay. We have on many occasions enjoyed the bistro for dinner before opera and symphony. The breakfast buffet is just as tasty and nicely presented. The Lancaster Bistro is our "go to" eatery downtown.

We have been eating pre-and post-theater at this venerable establishment for years. Since the family whose grandfather built this hotel has taken over, the Bistro is even better. The menu is inventive (fig and bacon appetizer) and the entrees are varied and solid (crab cakes are a must). The service is top-notch and they pour an honest wine by the glass, no 4 ounce measurements here. They will guarantee to get you to the theater with time to spare. Another plus is the valet parking at the hotel, no messing with a garage when you are tired and ready to head home.

The breakfast that was included with stay was very reasonable and provided everything one needs for a good breakfast. The dinners are very good although I was a bit disappointed with the Caesar salad. The service is very good and prompt.

We enjoyed a pre-theater dinner at Bistro Lancaster before Jersey Boys. The food, wine, and service were all excellent...just what we've come to expect at this small downtown restaurant.

Unfortunately when we paid, our Restaurant.com Gift Certificate, purchased the day before, was refused. Apparently management had decided "not to participate any longer," even though the certificates were still available for sale.

While Restaurant.com was responsive to the problem, my communicatiosn with the restaurant management were never answered. Although we have always enjoyed our meals at Bistro Lancaster, I'm hesitant to return because of what I feel was a poor decision to not honor certificates purchased in good faith, compounded by the total lack of customer service by management when I contacted them after our meal.
