Having made dinner reservations for 5:45pm prior to the evening performance at Alley Theatee, we expected Birraporetti's to be prepared for the "theatre crowd". The timeliness and quality of the find and service did not match this expectation. The front desk staff - several young folks - seemed to be utterly overwhelmed with each decision. In general the wait staff were unskilled although pleasant. The entrees were overpriced with only average quality. An entree of 4 cheese ravioli and 2 meatballs with sauce should not cost $13, and the food should be hot. The desserts were similarly disappointing. The coffee was charged at $2.75/cup, weak, served in a mug a la a diner with creamer cups. The environment is dated, worn and looks dirty. All in all this was like eating at a children's chain Italian restaurant at finer dining prices.
