I'm not sure why so many people rave so much about this place. The food itself "ok" for a cafeteria style restaurant. The service isn't particularly quick, nor is the staff overwhelmingly friendly. It's all just average: food is hot / fresh, the staff is polite, and the tables are clean.

I make sure to stop in whenever I go to Houston. The service is excellent as is the food. They have so many different options you could go in every day for a month and not have the same thing twice. Make sure to take a look at all the desserts in the display case.

We have classier Greek restaurants in Houston (reference the outstanding Pappas chain), but none that is tastier and more fun. Be prepared for an elbow-to-elbow, high-energy, eclectic crowd, and probably Houston's finest Greek food. To our taste, Niko Niko's food is as good as anything we experienced in a 3-week Greek vacation.

We absolutely love dining out at Niko Niko's...we drive an hour just to eat there! Come with an appetite! Great selection of fresh Greek food. The place is always slammed, especially on beautiful Sunday afternoons, but the wait is always short, and tables can always be found. Our favorites...Hummus dip with Pita, Village Salad (like they make in Athens!), Gyros, Lemon Potatoes, the best Keftedes in town, and of course we always end with the yummy Loukoumades (Greek Honey Balls). Definitely a place to visit. Sit outside and enjoy your meal at one of their many tables.
