“Reliable good upscale Rice Village restaurant”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Prego is a great and dependable restaurant with a quality menu at reasonable prices. I have been many times and never been disappointed. The cuisine is of an Italian bent, and the seafood dishes are excellent. A great place for dates and business dinners.

“Very good food and excellent service”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Nice menu selections, especially for lunch. Mozzarella is very good. Servings are reasonable - not crazy-huge like some Italian restaurants. Would be happy to go back again.

“Wonderful food”
Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

I've been to Prego twice & will go again. The pumpkin seed crusted snapper is excellent. The shrimp scampi with crab meat was wonderful.
My family liked the salmon with gnocchi. We didn't try the meat dishes yet. Salads were great. A bit pricey but the seafood dishes were worth the money. I could eat there every day with the variety on the menu. Excellent wine selection too. We were eating too early to drink much.

“Great Italian”

Love Prego! Had the tuna salad with pickled eggs. Great lunch entree. My wife had pasta carbonara which was rich and creamy. Nice and quiet for lunch.

“One of the better places around Medical Center Houston”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Good service, right at Rice Village, convenience place for strolling, shopping, dining. Small and not romantic setting, not quiet. Good menu of wine and food. Recommend to try the shellfish soup CACCIUCCO. The bread basket is not warm fresh but garlic olive oil is ok. The greeter is very nice and accommodating but the waiter is pushy and doesn't have a sense of humor.
The chef did make a special butternut squash soup not on the menu for my sister. Lentil soup is OK. Most portion is Texas size so we don't have any room for dessert.
Too bad. Next time.
