Never had Taco Cabana but given the reviews and later night craving as I had just arrived in Houston, I thought I'd give it a shot!. Unfortunately, it was poor fast-food IMO. Order took quite a bit of time to come through although I was told half way through my wait that there was an issue in the kitchen and it would be resolved quickly. The steak nachos had very little steak and were smothered in queso...couldnt even use the guac or sour cream that came with it. Chicken tacos were ok but nothing to rave about as they were very quite soggy. The best part was the fresh condiment bar-real good pico gallo and sauces with a good buch of fresh cilantro. Cheap fast dinner yes but I have had better quality for the same price elsewhere. maybe it was an off night. Decor was ok in the resto.
