Oh my gosh....my wife and I went with our favorite foodie couple and the four of us were totally blown away. We arrived at 6:15 and left four hours later with smiles on our faces. We cannot wait to go back in three months (the menu totally rolls over every four months). Three of us had the 8 course menu with one having the 5 course. One was gluten free and the other was egg and almond free. Two of us had the matching wines and the other two had champagne from the champagne cart. The dining experience is somewhat like being at a chef's table with the staff being extremely knowledgable about the cuisine and more than ready to discussion any details of how each course is preparted. I highly recommend that you go to their website to see the menu. We have gone to only one other restaurant similar to this in the world....The Herb Farm near Seattle.

This place is so fun! The food is not your ordinary fare (pasta made from leek ash!), the chefs clearly have fun with then menu, and the ambience is not at all pretentious. The walls are made from what appear to be the floor of a gymnasium and directions to the bathroom were "go past the wine case and push the wall in." Our server was very attentive and helped us navigate the menu. And the checks are served in a a tin can cap. (Yeah, that's hard to explain...) And the food was yummy! This place gets an A+ for serving excellent food in an inviting atmosphere. Houston is not my favorite city but it's got some world class cuisine. Highly recommended!

We went to eat at The Pass without any preconceived expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. The Pass is accessible through Provisions but the address is the only thing the two restaurants have in common. The hostess takes you into The Pass by pushing on a section of wall that opens up to a secret chamber and ends up in a minimalist decor dining room. Stark white walls. No art. Only the view of the kitchen on the end of the dining room is of intrest. No doubt this place is all about the food.

They offer a 5 course and an 8 course dinner. We chose the 8 with pairings. Descrbing the food is simply impossible as it is presented in such an artistic and creative way - it is like nothing you have ever had. Creative, different and AMAZING taste. Rarely do the 3 all come together like this. Every dish we were served was impeccibly presented and the combination of textures and flavors were incredible to the palate.

The dinner lasted over 2.5 hours and was a very entertaining and wonderful experience. If you want a great meal and a new experience - this place is for you. Bring your credit card though. Our tab for 2 was nearly $400. We will be back.

Houston is known for food, but not like this. P&P is an experience. If you are looking for something beyond a great meal... GO. If you are looking for a night out that you will be talking about for weeks to come... GO.
Food - Great
Atmosphere - Fantastic
Service - Fantastic
Price - Expensive (well worth it)

I highly recommend having the 5 or 8 course meal at Pass. I would not hesitate recommending this resturant to anyone, but would encourage all to make a reservation well in advance.

Went to Pass and Provisions for an impromptu dinner after going out for drinks with work friends. Had no idea what to expect, but ended up having one of our best meals in Houston so far! There were no tables free in the main restaurant (on a Thurs night, relatively late on, which goes to shows how popular it is) so sat in the bar area - not sure whether the menu was reduced or not, but there was something for everyone, and the food was of a high standard. Will definitely be going back again soon.
