Love to try new restaurants that open in Houston. This one is a keeper. Salmon started was awesome. Pizza's were wonderful. Tasty, well presented and I even ate the crust. Their bread selection is mouth watering and all the other dishes were innovative and tasty. We will be back!

We have dined here two times this month. My friend and I were thrilled with everything at our first visit - delicious pasta with shrimp, plus perfect pizza of ricotta, arugula and ham. Nice Cava by the glass. Our waitress was fun and knew the unique menu well. We dined on the patio as we had no reservations.

Our second visit (two couples this time) was good, although there were a few disappointments. We didn't care for the ribs which are highly touted. They had an odd flavorings that all four of us were not fond of. But the artichoke soup with apple, and the mushroom pizza were devine. I would order these selections again, anytime! For this second visit -- we dined inside with no reservations. Although the first told us we needed them. Some tables opened up and we only waited maybe 10 min. max.

Both of these visits were at "Provisions"... as "The Pass" is not open yet.

This place was a huge disappointment. The food that was "purveyed" wasn't bad. There was a ham that was cured 401 days, not 402, but 401. Yet, it was good. The burrata served with the herbed pizza was excellent. The pizza served with it (you get to apply the burrata yourself, get it?)that was made there was as dry as a bone and resembled warmed cardboard. Fast forward to the entree, my son, Nick, and I split the suckling pig ($55, for two!). It was served in a cast iron dutch oven over fideu (that's Spanish for vermicelli pasta). The skin was unctuous and just not crispy-the skin on suckling pig just has to be crispy It lacked any seasoning, although some sea salt was provided on a board for those who like their food, shall I say, ......SALTED! You don't order suckling pig if you are dietarily challenged. Desserts were OK. The atmosphere was downright nerve-racking. I thought it was a generation issue until I asked my son and daughter (both in their 20's)and they both agreed. The music was punk rock and loud. Now, I am not a fan of punk rock, but even so, does it have a place in a dining establishment? Come on, give me a break. BTW, they lowered it when I asked them to. Frankly, I would pass this one up. If you wait long enough, I think it will be long gone. It is crowded now but the bloom will wear off. More gimmick than substance.

2 of my kids live nearby and one had scouted this as a new and interesting place......he was right!! a full listing of appetizers, cheeses with different breads, then a selection of vegetables, fish dishes, or meats, and the highlight was the homemade and frshly baked pizzas 0 everything was freshly made and baked right there that minute and brought to the table!!
The fish we picked was a salmon kind of "mousse" with chopped salmon in the bottom, a creamy whip, and topped with caviar....
The pizzas were all interesting and (not seet and yucky) toppings - veggies, meats, poultry....and dleicious - we had a mushroom with truffle oil, and another with veggies and fish....both were amazing
desserts were also original and well crafted - we had an apple dish and a homemade ice cream with caramel/toffee sauce - marvelous -
would head back in a minute!
