The BBQ here is top notch but plan to wait. Three meals took about 30+ minutes to get to our table. If you don't need to arrive at 12 noon wait until later when the crowd thins out. Service was very good and super friendly. Pretty much anything on the menu is very good, in particular the brisket and deer sausage. Sides are good portion as are the sandwiches and meat plate.

Chicken was flavorful but a little dry.

Green beans had an odd taste herbs I think

Baked beans were good

Cole Slaw very typical

Sausage was the best

40 min in line then 25 min for service was too long for OK BBQ

Many other options in Houston

Maybe the best BBQ in Houston. Brisket is especially good. They seem a little overwhelmed -- we had a take-out order and they forgot the BBQ -- but it stacks up there with some of the places in the Texas Top 50.

My only issue was not finding this place sooner. I live in the Heights and had a craving for BBQ. This place was nearby. If you don't know exactly where it is, you might miss it because the storefront is small and limited parking. Yes, it's smallish once inside, too. I ordered the 3-meat plate to-go. The ribs were so/so, but the links and brisket were very good, probably some of the best BBQ ever; and the sauce was excellent. I had the ranch beans and slaw as sides - also quite good. All-in for under $20 and a lot of food. The service was also excellent. I'll be back.

We were only in Houston for a short time and wanted to have some great BBQ. We found this place by searching online and it had good reviews so we figured why not. It was a little bit difficult to find and there is not a lot of parking out front. It's very small and was pretty crowded which was a good sign for us. There is not a lot of seating inside and out.

We had almost everything on the menu. The brisket was absolutely delicious and just fell apart. The pulled pork was equally as amazing. Our favorite by far was the deer sausage though. It had a lot of good flavor. We love bbq sauce so we ordered extra and used every bit of it. The fries were good and so was the coleslaw. If we are ever back in the area we will definately be coming back here!
