I have eaten here many times (the one on Bellaire Blvd and Renwick). It's definitely Mexican here. The women taking orders speak English but not too many other people do. You walk in and order and then go take a seat wherever you would like. It's pretty cheap and the meal comes quickly. There are no chips or anything like that. It's no frills, but bright and clean. The walls are covered in photos of Tampico, Mexico or Mexican revolutionary heroes. (The owners are from Tampico). There is always a green and a red sauce on the table in a sort of ketchup bottle. They are both hot, even for Mexicans used to eating spicy. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like the green sauce. The burritos run a little over $4. The tacos are $1 and change each. With something to drink, two people can fill up for $13. The menu and a little photo of this location are on their web site. http://www.tacoslabala.com
