easy location. close to Rice and hospitals. neighborhood is questionable. rooms are quite spacious, but dated, and could use a thorough cleaning. breakfast was nice, with quite a few options. i'd have to think twice about staying here again.More

I had a business/ sales trip to attend in Houston. We had an event around the corner so I opted to stay with the Marriot Chain.
I ended up with a large, large room for the regular rate. It was a small 2 bedroom apartment. Super nice and tons of room for once business traveler! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful.
Overall it was a good stay!

The hotel is well situated, and the staff is very friendly. But overall the property is a bit dated, and the room itself was mediocre. It had that musty smell of an old hotel room that desperately needs to be aired out. The bed was loud and creaky. We were there for only one night so it wasn't worth changing rooms or anything, but it represented a lack of attention to detail. Nevertheless, for what it was, this property served its purpose, and would probably be best suited to the business traveler rather than a family.

It was our first time bringing our kids to houston & also their first time in a hotel. They loved the breakfast (was too much to choose from...lol), & the pools. The 1 bedroom suite was perfect for us, as the kids had the sofa bed to sleep.
The hotel is situated perfectly for a family trip to houston. The zoo, aquarium & nasa space center are all within a few minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly & performed higher than our expactions.
All in all, a great hotel at a great price. We were extremely satisfied.
We spent three nights at the Residence Inn and were quite satisfied. The 2-room suite was spacious, though we would have preferred a king to a queen-sized bed. The kitchen was well-equipped if you plan to eat in. The AC was a bit noisy but performed adequately. The entire place was clean and bright. There is a small but adequate work-out room with 2 treadmills, elliptical, recumbent bike and barbells that was never crowded. The free breakfast was ample. They put out 3 free papers every morning. They also offer a free shuttle that will take you within a few mile radius that is handy since walking in Houston heat and humidity is not enjoyable. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
The hotel was okay until I found a dead roach on the bath room floor. It was the last night of my stay.
Check in was quick and the friendly staff.
The hotel was in a good location to restaurants. The pool area was nice, wish they had bigger towels in the pool area.
