I just want to complement the housekeeping staff. They did a great job on the small details. Everyone hears the complaints so I just want to take a moment to say nice job. This is just the first of 20 nights here so keep it up please.

We chose this hotel for proximity to Toyota Center since our sole reason for visiting was to attend a concert. Turns out this is the perfect hotel for that purpose. Since we didn't stay long enough to visit anywhere else in the city I can't speak to the location in relation to anything else, but if you are going to Toyota Center I would highly recommend staying here. The Pappasitos restaurant was a great place for dinner before the concert and the lobby bar was a real hot spot afterwards. The bar had late food service, great bartenders and waiters, great drinks (a little pricey, but ..) and it was full of energy.
Our room was very nice. We were on the concierge floor, so also enjoyed the happy hour and free breakfast, both of which were some of the best I've experienced. Room was large, bathroom was large, both very clean and fresh. Didn't have much reason to encounter staff on such a short visit, but all that I did meet were pleasant and helpful.
Overall, we were very pleased and would most certainly stay here again.

Dear Paula H,

Thank you for sharing your Hilton Americas-Houston experience on TripAdvisor. We are pleased our location worked well for you for attending an event at the Toyota Center. Our location works well for those attending other events in the area such as Minute Maid Park, BBVA Compass Stadium, the theatre district and other entertainment and dining venues.

We appreciate you staying with us and we hope to welcome you back.

This has become our favorite hotel in Houston--a city with a number of great hotels. The downtown location is outstanding, convenient to Minute Maid Park, the Convention Center, and some top flight restaurants. The theater district and its nighttime attractions and restaurants are a but farther, but the hotel has an efficient shuttle service and the city's cabs are adequate.

Most huge convention hotels are, almost industrial, but the Hilton Americas avoids that with unique public areas and am eloquent feel. The rooms are large and well appointed; ours had a great city view from the 19th floor. The beds were confortable, and king beds had kind pillows, which has become a crusade with me. Almost all the staff was friendly and attentive. Despite being busy, check in was a breeze. The only small hiccup on this trip was with the Concierge (Malcolm?). He was inattentive and brusque with a couple of questions we asked--once on the phone and once in person. This was surprising since in the past all the concierges were most helpful.

In the end, if you are looking for a full service, upscale hotel with reasonable rates, this is a great choice.

My family of four had a little getaway at the Hilton Americas-Houston and had a wonderful time. The views of downtown are amazing, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very well maintained. We were very impressed with the food in the Executive Lounge and I would definitely recommend that upgrade. The only complaint I had, if you could even call it a complaint, was that internet service in our room was inconsistent and unavailable at times. I am not sure whether or not this would have been an issue in the Executive Lounge, as I did not attempt to access the internet from there, but I suspect not (there is also an attendant available whom I'm sure would have been happy to help). We wished we could have stayed more than one night, and the kids (ages 5 and 7) asked as we were driving away if we could go back next year. They did not make this request of the Best Western we stayed at in MS on our way to Florida in June. :) Highly recommended!

So this is a huge hotel right downtown - benefits being; 3 restaurants, a cafe, convenience store all in house.

Now the hotel is fairly new so rooms are in great condition. Nothing exotic, but solid quality and consistently very clean.

Downside of a large hotel is obviously less personal service and a healthy walk to your room. However every time I've stayed here the service has been great - from valet to check in. Now I'm no going to lie, the trek to your room may be long - I'm not certain how many rooms but it's significant.

Dear Paulix_Troy,

Thank you for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor and for your continued loyalty. We may be larger than many hotels in the area, but we strongly believe in personal service. In addition, we have several options as far as room locations for guests to chose from to reduce distances to events or other amenities in the hotel.

We appreciate your business and we look forward to your many returns.

I booked this hotel using Hotwire, it was in the right location for where I needed to be. The hotel was right across the street from the Toyota Center where my cousin's graduation was being held. The hotel staff was very friendly and informative. The hotel room was very nice and clean, comfy beds and spacious bathroom. I've found my downtown hotel for the next visit to Houston.
