I am in Houston weekly for business and generally choose to stay here. Location is very good, rooms are slightly above average, rates are very good and bathrooms are nice.
Downsides: biggest downside is the unprofessional people who run the front desk, I have had interactions with virtually all of them and in my opinion they all need to attend a finishing class in order to polish their interpersonal/customer service skills. They are all quite surly and have rough edges.
Overall though this is a better than average hotel for business in downtown Houston and the price is right (I have never paid more than $200 per night).
