Tasty but overpriced leave-you-hungry pizza. Service almost absent, get your own plates, plasticware, napkins. $21 for a good but quite simple anorexic pizza with a small nondescript Ceaser salad. Zero atmosphere, some outdoor seating in the strip mall. I guess faddy Memorial people in Houston will pay anything for a new sensation. BYOB with no corkage fee is nice.

Great place for family or romantic late night pizza. Pizza is prepared in a huge Italian oven. You can bring your own wine. They do not servce alcohol. They do have some tables outside, but since it's in a strip mall, I wouldn't sit outside, unless I had my dog.

If you like truly Napoli styled pizza there is no place like it. Not your run of the mill pizza delivery outfit. This place has an authentic Italian pizza oven and the chef is an artist. Once you eat his pizza all others will pale in comparison. Bring a nice bottel of wine and enjoy.

Though located in a strip mall, this small restaurtant delivers big things ! It is a very simple experience - order at the counter, sit att he table, await your perfect pizza. No table service, but the focus here is the the pizza - simple, Neopolitan, perfect. No booze, but also no corkage - so that's fair. This is some of the best pizza i have ever had - including four trips to Italy (2 in Rome, Ischia, and Florence) - more Italian than Italy. Pizza comes fast - only after 90 sec in the 900 degree oven. Truly, this is all about the food, and not much more.

There are many styles of Pizza and in my opinion they all have their merits. But if you are looking for authentic Neapolitan style pizza without all the bother and expense of actually going to Naples this is your best bet.

Bill Hutchinson, General Partner, received his certification as a Pizzaiuolo from the Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN) organization. The pizza is made in a wood oven using the proper flour and techniques.

So what? Well this gives you a crust that has just the right texture, taste, chew and char. Another feature of the pizza is that they go light on the toppings so that you taste both the toppings and the wonderful crust. Probably the most authentic (to Naples) are the Cheese and Margarita toppings using proper Italian style Mozzarella di Bufala. However, even the less traditional toppings are great.

The restaurant is located in a strip retail center at the corner of Memorial and Kirkwood. The restaurant itself is rather plain, but does have a couple of outside tables for these (all to few) Houston days that are pleasant enough to sit outside. Every time I have been there Bill has been there to great you and make sure that all is well. Don't be afraid to ask him about what it takes to make Pizza Napoletana.

Another great feature is that Pizaro's is BYOB. Bring your favorite wine because there is no fee. Cork screws and glasses are by the front door. Just help yourself.
