Baby Barnaby's is a familiar haunt of mine where good food is always available with great service! The only problem with this location is that all of the menu items are fabulous, but a stand-out is t he corned beef hash: a chipped corned beef brisket, choice of egg, and fabulous pan fried potatoes. The orange juice is a must to accompany any meal - fresh squeezed Rio Grande oranges. Coffee is also well above average - a nice free trade coffee. If you go during the week, the wait is very minimal while on weekends you can wait upwards of an hour to be seated. This is a great spot for breakfast, and a must visit for any Houstonian.

Getting a car window replaced down the street and asked if there were any good restaurants in the area. First one that came to mind was Baby Barnaby's. It is located in the Montrose area of Houston, surrounded by old homes and a nice atmosphere. While waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, I asked about the menu. The green eggs breakfast was recommended. When I finally got the chance to be seated, I indeed ordered the green eggs, eggs with spinach and jack cheese with apple sausage and potatoes, lots of potatoes. The meal was great, service even better. From what I could see of other dishes being served, EVERYTHING looks good. This is a definite keeper on the list of restaurants to visit often while in Houston.

We had breakfast here in this tiny cafe with people shoehorned into the Formica tables and booths. It was packed out even on a weekday which is an indication of its quality. Lots of unusual breakfast offerings such as green eggs (eggs with artichoke hearts and spinach) and vegetarian offerings. Fresh ice tea and coffee along with attentive service and quaint atmosphere. Can't beat it in my opinion.

This may be my new favorite breakfast place in Houston. I had the eggs and ham and my wife had the green eggs and chicken apple sausage. Both were delicious. They have coffee in the waiting area so you can get your java fix while waiting. Which is good because the wait can be quite substantial. Sign in, grab a cup of Joe and get ready for a great meal. Made with fresh ingredient including fresh cilantro in the green eggs which my wife just loved!

It's also worth mentioning they welcome your dog as well. Unique.

I ate here for brunch and then returned to Barnaby's next door for dinner over a weekend stay in the area. Loved the walkable, neighborhood feel of the place and the servers and staff were all super friendly. Food was excellent and accomodated my vegan palate nicely. There was a (justifiable) wait for brunch but there were spots to sit and coffee to be had so no complaints.
