This place gets great reviews for a good reason. Top quality food in a very clean and well kept environment. The wok fried noodle dishes are spectacular...get any type of meat. I've been all over the menu and it's all very good. I have been here 5 times and have never been disappointed. Friendly helpful service. Family run place that focuses on fresh food.

This is our go to restaurant since three years now. The food is fantastic. I cannot vouch for the authenticity, as I am not Vietnamese, but the taste is really good.

We have been here for lunch and dinner, and at both times the service was attentive and the food excellent. The tofu in curry sauce is great, so is the pork spring roll.

Definitely worth recommending when visiting Houston.

Our son, who frequently dines here, introduced us to the wonderful fresh favors here recently. I tried #74, the stir-fried wide noodle bowl with shrimp and veggies. The noodles were such a surprise - they come pressed together into a unique flat disc-type format topped with perfect shrimp, crisp veggies, and a fantastic sauce. My son raves about the duck appetizer and the yellow noodle bowl. The iced coffees were a treat for my husband and son. No wonder our son goes here so often. We would too if we lived in Houston!

This little restaurant seemed to have garnered great praise in the local media and even here on trip advisor. Therefore, we decided to try this little place behind the convention center. Since we were staying at the Hilton-Americas, it was a short (less than 10 minute) walk. The neighborhood left something to be desired and you kind of wonder if it's worth it (it is)
The service although a bit disjointed, with a different server/waitperson at every interaction, was nonetheless very pleasant and pretty efficient.
The food was fantastic. My son and I wanted to try several dishes and the waitress was very helpful in making suggestions. Even the pho, she recommended getting the large portion and they would split it into two separate bowls - although, it did seem like we got two whole orders this way as the amount of soup/noodles seemed like quite a bit even for a large order.
On the whole, if we were back in Houston, would 100% be back at Huynh.

We went for an evening meal and this is the best Far-Eastern food we've tasted in years. Wonderful delicate flavours but if you want spicy, they can do spicy. Fantastic service, friendly and very quick. The menu might seem limited compared to other places but what they serve here is first class. Other restaurants would probably charge premium prices for food this good but what the Huynh charge is on a par with your local takeaway. They don't serve alcohol but charge a modest corkage fee if you bring your own bottle of wine. Our meal for two comprising of two appetisers and two main dishes came to $45, an absolute steal. If you're unsure what to have from the menu, the waiting staff will very happily give you guidance. The surroundings inside are clean and modern although there's nothing pretentious about the décor. The place was almost full when we went and there was a nice friendly buzz to the atmosphere. I can't praise this place enough.

The immediate area around the restaurant seems a bit lonely however it's not far from the soccer stadium and there are two interesting looking bars in the area. Be warned that if there's any kind of event going on (baseball, soccer, etc) you might find it very difficult to park.
