Efficient reservation system, reasonable rates, sparklingly clean, comfortable beds, microwave and refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee maker in room, quiet environment, substantial breakfast with great coffee. Pleasant personnel. Will stay there every trip to Houston.

Stayed here during my Mother's last days in hospice at hospital nearby. We rotated shifts so someone could sleep while others stayed with Mom until she passed away. The hotel was a convenient location and pleasant place to stay during a very difficult time. Staff was very understanding, accommodating and compassionate.

The hotel is in a good location, although hidden from the main road.
Desk clerk was professional.
The room was nice and cool when I got in, nice due to how hot it was outside, however later in the evening was very cold, the thermostat would not adjust, called down front, the hotel was sold out and the maintenance crew was gone for the evening.
Was able to look at the wiring and resolve the issue, you are welcome next visitor!
Breakfast was what you come to expect from Hampton.

One question, how is it Hampton has free wifi and breakfast while Hilton and DoubleTree charges for this?

The room was small for the amount of money that I paid for it. The room was nice, the air conditioning was excellent, bed was very comfortable, I like the fact the all bedding was washed prior to my arrival. I was not happy about not getting the studio king, which I understand does happen but was not offered it if it became available within my 4 day stay.

Hampton Inn has a standard and this hotel meets that standard. No surprises. For security the hotel grounds are fenced in with plenty of lights. Check in was prompt, courteous and efficient. The room was sized amply and filled with the standard hotel furniture all in good repair. There is a nice work area with rolling table that utilizes the space well. The bath was clean and appeared recently redone in marble and dark wood cabinets. The air conditioning ran without excessive noise and cooled well (outside temps were 96 day/80 night). And this was the quietest hotel I have stayed in for a long time. Never heard another tv, door slam, or voices in the hall. Overall well done. My only complaint is the duvet hotels provide standard on their beds. Houston is hot in the summer, air conditioners are taxed to cool. The last thing I need is an insulating blanket. For the summer, make the bed with a cotton or light wool blanket and save on some a/c costs too. I did crank the air conditioning down to 60F for the night. It was cool enough but it never got to 60.
