“Very happy with my stay here.”
Reviewed June 13, 2011

My husband and I stayed here for one night for a leisure trip to Houston. We were very impressed with the check-in desk staff. They were very efficient and friendly. The lobby was clean and up-to-date. There is self parking at this hotel which is within walking distance. We stayed on the club floor. It was very quiet and we slept well. The room was clean and well appointed. The club lounge had snacks and sodas and a continental breakfast in the morning with pancakes, oatmeal, juice, danishes and coffee. We could see the pool and hot tub from our window and it looked very nice. However, we did not utilize it. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at the Sheraton Houston Brookhollow Hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Dear LeaningTRanch,

Thanks very much for your review and for choosing our hotel! We’re fortunate to have an excellent team both at the front desk and throughout the hotel. It’s great to hear you and your husband enjoyed your stay and were able to take advantage of our club lounge amenities. We do hope to see you again soon!

My boyfriend and I stayed here as a business trip for him. We are both young and pretty "middle class" since the time we arrived, we were treated like we didnt belong. We arrived late monday night with our 2 little dogs. We were told over the phone that we would have complimentary dog beds with our stay. They never mentioned anything. I finally called and asked after our 3rd night. Nobody has come to clean our room or ask if we need anything. And, they put us in a room thats at the very end of the hotel next to the stairs rm 301. We felt like we were in a closet away from everyone else. Everytime I call to guest services for something, they come up with an attitude like ive disturbed them.
We usually stay at the La Quinta but everything was booked due to the NCAA weekend. We would of preffered La Quinta over the Sheraton anytime. They have very comfortable "king" beds, and a wonderful complimentary breakfast and always treat us nicely. The rooms are always clean. The bed here by the way was a queen, and so uncomfortable!! I highly doubt we will be back. Atleast not anytime soon.

Hello,

I was tired and trying to get psyched up for another day in the office 1200 miles away from home on a normal Wednesday morning when in came "D" for my Sheraton breakfast experience. Wondering if "D" is always happy....cause it made my day! Thanks D!

In the afternoon my great Sheraton experience continued with Amanda's help at the front desk re-arranging some future stays...Her laugh is contagious. Thanks Amanda

Room Tip: Just ask for Amanda she will hook you up.

This hotel was remodeled within the past year or so and they had a real deal on an introductory price. Nice, spacious, comfortable room with free wireless (which is rare in a Sheraton). The location is visible from northbound 610 and 290 but tricky to reach because it's on a one-way frontage road. Aside from the hotel's restaurant, no restaurants nearby. The outdoor pool is big enough to swim laps in and was warm enough to swim in in February

When I booked this hotel, I was a little worried about its location. When I arrived at the hotel, it wa little better than what I thought. But still, it was not the most convenient location in the world as you have to drive around a little to get to the highway. But I figure it is like that in Houston since it is a huge city.

In general, I didn't have any major problems as staffs were friendly and room was clean. Even it was a little older hotel with renovations, still it looked pretty decent.
One thing they can improve on: the restroom. It did looked old... BUT again it was clean.

My mother and I arrived very late... a little after midnight. The girl at the front desk was so nice and even gave us a voucher for complimentary breakfast in the morning since we were only going to be staying for one night. It was a very appreciated gesture and the breakfast in the morning was better than the buffet breakfast that I've had at other hotels! The room was very nice and updated! The beds were very comfy,my mother stated she had not slept so well in such a long time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning again!

The stay was rather bad but not awfull. Actually we encounterred several problems :
1) When we arrived at the front desk, we asked for a roll away bed. The trainee in charge of the hotel told us the room was too small but we could upgrade to a king room. We accepted to pay for this and were told there were no more rooms available but they had another option - really expensive this time that we refused. The trainee at the reception desk was on one of his first days but coached by nobody. The manager in charge didn't move from his back office at any moment. 2) When we we came back the second day at 8:00 pm quite some towels where missing so we couldn't shower. We called the reception and had to go down in person to the reception because "nobody was available to bring the towels to your room" ! We thought we were back in our Youth Hostel era !
3) In the morning, the cleaning lady was particularly lazy and tried to avoid cleaning the room by knocking on the door and shouting "Not today ? Not today?" . hoping she could get away with one romm left to service.
4) There is a remaining stinking smell in the elevator and around the pool.
