Description: Brasserie 19, located in Houston’s 77019 neighborhood, offers a modern amalgamation of French brasserie fare and well-known American influences. The chef-driven menu utilizes the freshest seasonal ingredients in thoughtfully prepared dishes. Brasserie 19 boasts an expansive, carefully developed wine list dedicated to pricing just above retail – a philosophy pioneered by owners Charles Clark and Grant Cooper upon opening their first restaurant, Ibiza Food & Wine Bar. Brasserie 19's sophisticated yet unpretentious interiors are bathed in cool greys and whites, with antiqued wood and white marble used throughout. Grey leather banquettes and comfortable chairs are paired with white linen and butcher paper-covered tables create a casually elegant setting for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Brasserie 19 will serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Sundays.

“Upscale refined experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

Located in one of the most upscale neighborhoods in Houston, Brasserie 19 offers a French fusion culinary experience where eating is only part of the story, the other part being people watching. Most of the clientele is from the nearby rich River Oaks neighborhood, nice cars, plastic surgery, designer clothes, they have it all! We enjoyed some late night food, their kitchen is opened until 11pm. We had the tuna tartare and it was perfectly spiced. Their wine selection is extensive and very diverse. Nice patio to eat outside, weather permitting.

“Excellent in all Ways”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

My wife and I were fortunate to be invited to a business meeting at the Brasserie 19 and we were very delighted. Friendly and helpful was the theme of all people involved from the door to your table. Quick attentive service throughout the evening. Scallops were divine. French onion soup rich and cheesey. Salads crisp and cold. Salmon perfectly grilled and steak a little tough but good flavor. Desserts were as good as any I have tried. I remind you this was not off the menu but in a business setting with over 25 guests and still the food was great and the service excellent. I will go there to dine again. I will hesitate to go to a meeting there though because of the noise from the other diners that competed with the speaker. Excellent location and ample parking with or without valet.

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have enjoyed the delicious steak and friendly service. I will definitely return when next in Houston.

“Great food in a party like atmosphere”

Our favorite restaurant in Houston. It does get crazy crowded but the food makes up for it. Do not miss the mussels & the cotton candy.

“Our Houston favorite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014

Authentic French atmosphere, delicious food, great cocktails and wine list, fairly priced. Be sure to order bread and butter -- a simple pleasure that delivers, and soaks up the wine while you wait for the food (which can take a while, especially at brunch).
