This 12 table restaurant offers a good mix of seafood and steak with daily specials in addition to the menu items. From a past visit, I know the Chicken Fried steak is easily one of the best in Houston. They use a rib-eye as the basis of the CFS, instead of pounded round. The restaurant somewhat pretentiously does not put salt and pepper on the table unless it is requested. The seafood is prepared well. The grilled chicken breast, however, would be more at home in a Mexican restaurant. It is served in bowl with rice and guacamole. Really, it is not good enough to be in a Mexican restaurant. Steer clear of it.

The BYOB aspect is nice until you get the bill and notice that they charge an $8/bottle "consumption" charge. I usually don't like to spend all that much more for a bottle of wine at home and an $8 surcharge per bottle seems excessive.

We have been meaning to go to Hollister for a while since many of our friends raved about it.

We were very pleased with our meals and the ability to BYOB.

Service was superb, food was delicious.

This is one of those neighborhood restaurants in a small strip center that you could pass by a hundred times and not notice. they offer excellent gome cooking in an environment that is comfortable. It is a great place for a casual lunch, or a completely different dating experience in the evening.

At lunch try the artichoke and spinach dip as an appetizer. I had an amazing white chocolate raspberyy bread pudding laden with fresh fruit and pecans. The grilled chicken sandwiach and homemade chips were excellent.

At dinner the shrmip and rissotto was excellent and they usually have specials....Wednesday at lucnh is chicken pot pie! One of the best.

Hollister Grill is located in Spring Branch about a mile off of I-10. It is definitely worth a small trip.
