I stayed here for the Packers- Texans game and did not realize it was at the back end of down town. None the less it has a great location, next to the convention center and a few restaurants. Close proximity to the House of blues was also a plus. Their breakfast was good. They seem to get realy busy so maybe an extra kitchen staff would have helped. Rooms are spacious and clean. No issues during my stay.

The hotel looks to be recently redone as the rooms are in great condition. They have a wonderful breakfast and a nice happy hour etc. The staff that work there all go out of their way to be helpful, offering to drive you to a place to eat etc....they were a bit overwhelmed in their restaurant during the convention that we attended but the location is so great and the accomodations were super that it was something to over look. Parking is a little high at almost $ 30/night but what you would expect at an inner city hotel.

This hotel is my favorite in downtown Houston. First reason is because they are pet friendly. There is a doggy park right behind it which makes it very convenient to take your pooch to as often as needed. Secondly, location! Even thought it is in downtown, it is a very quiet part of downtown meaning you can rest when you want peacefully and you can also walk to restaurants/attractions to party. Their breakfast is outstanding and so is their happy hour for their customers. The rooms are very comfy, modernly decorated and with plenty of room to have the privacy you need even if another person is sleeping in their sofa sleeper. In summary, my favorite hotel in the area.

Room Tip: I always avoid staying next to elevators.

Spent 6 nights here during May for a conference.

Location is great for attending a conference. Only 1 minute walk to the conference centre and a very good supermarket/deli only 2-3 minutes walk in the other direction.

Large suites - one lounge/living room and one bedroom with everything you need. Clean and well maintained. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good selection at the buffet breakfast and free beers and snacks for a couple of hours in the late afternoon/evening. Room rate was reasonable.

I travel a lot for work and this hotel was ideal for attending a conference at the conference centre. I liked it so much I even asked to speak to the manager at check out to congratulate him on his staff/hotel !!

From check in to the great breakfast, it was all great. The only ding that I give them is the bed, as it wasn't in line with everything else. I am a bed person and appreciate a bed that feels like mine at home and I didn't feel it. It might be great for someone else so you may just have to be your own judge here.

I was able to get a great deal on a two queen and sofa bed suite through Expedia. The room was large, decorated nicely, clean and quite. The rooftop pool was heated, and changed colors at night. The hot tub was very hot and a good size. Lots of lounge chairs and towels. The free breakfast was excellent. There was a hot buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, grits and cubed potatoes that was very good. There was an amazing made to order omelet station, that also made eggs to order and I saw them make pancakes too. There were fresh melon and pastries. A coffee, juice, milk and tea station. In the evenings there was a manager’s reception that served free drinks and snacks. There was a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert that night, so we weren’t too fond of the type of crowd. Valet parking was very pricy, but the car was in a covered garage and not outside. There were several restaurants that were in walking distance, and the streets were very clean, even though there was a lot of construction. We had a relaxing and fun weekend thanks to Embassy Suites.

My husband and I recently made a business/leisure trip to Houston and stayed here. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Our suite was well appointed, comfortable and quiet.
We travel a fair bit and will highly recommend this hotel to our friends and business associates.
Well done - Customer Service was exemplary!!

Room Tip: Higher floors were very quiet.
