Over Christmas holiday, we visited Peli Peli and ordered a feast, to go. While not your typical cuisine to put in foam containers, we wanted a special meal and Peli Peli sounded like the ticket. From the South African Mojitos to two bottles of Peli Peli wine (to go also), the beverages were amazing. Add to that salmon, prawns, filets cooked perfectly and scallop mushrooms and you'd be hard pressed to get a better dining experience! What was most amazing, was that after a 1/2 hour drive and reheating everything in the microwave, the food was STILL UNBELIEVABLE!! Chef Paul, way to go!!!

my wife and I eat here regularly and its always great. Salsa chicken and chilean sea bass are our favorites. The chief comes out sometimes and talks to everyone. The menu is varied and excellent. Go on sunday for the brunch and you will enjoy the warm environment. Its the perfect place to eat after church.

We've been two-three times in the last 6 months. Service is always exceptional regardless of the crowd. Food is "melt in your mouth" good and the S.African wines that have been recommended are excellent. We find that flatbread and one entree feeds us both which helps with the cost! Also love their Groupon offers and even though we have two young girls, we enjoy the "not-as-kid-friendly" atmosphere. Helps parents 'get away' !! LOVE IT

Just for fun I checked out how tripadvisor rated the restaurants in Houston, a city I live in near Rice Village and the Medical Center. This place was rated like 3rd out of over 2,500 restaurants. It is located in North Houston which was a good 25 minute drive from where we live. Well, this was an amazing surprise- the decor and ambiance can't be beat (you dine under a wonderful contemporary version of an Acacia tree (tree of life) - surrounded by captivating colors while being serenaded by upscale live jazz music)- Why I said: Is this Houston? Well, we felt like we were in another country far far away or perhaps in South Beach Miami at the latest and greatest. The place is casual but elegant. Finally, the food. EXQUISITE- wonderful- DELISH- really amazing. Honestly, no exaggeration. The flavors and the quality can't be beat. This is a very very special place. I guarantee you too will be captivated by Peli Peli and that you will have a sense you have entered another world far from the mundane.
